I was looking for a place that sold "old fashioned" Italian food with no pretence and reasonable value. I couldn't have chosen better. Calamari for entree was standard fare served in a large shell with a piece of cos lettuce and generous bowl of tartare.

For main I had rolled baby veal with camembert and spinach filling. It came with a mass of veg (cauli, snow peas, roasted pepper, potato) all perfectly cooked. My dining partner had a Ladies eye fillet steak (250 gm medium rare)with garlic sauce and the same vegies. The flavour of her steak was amazing. Crepe suzette for dessert (very nice) and a fantastic rich sticky date pudding with Butterscotch sauce and dollop of (commercial) ice cream.

This place is perfect for a relaxed night out with friends/family when you want something better than Lygon Street or a Pub. BYO Wine and Licensed is a great bonus.

Came here a little while ago for a corporate group lunch. Had the avocado with seafood entree, average, nothing to write home about. Chips were nice and crisp, no oily residue or stale oil smell. Some of the group ordered steak, all looked good.

Our main waiter was very friendly, although the steak eaters had to wait awhile before their steak sauces came out, irritated some to have to wait so long.
Restaurant pricings. Will give it another go to try other dishes.

Food portions were great. It was a little dissapointing though, when the rice that came with my prawn dish was dry alluding to it being 2 days old. If it was fresh, it would have been perfect. Service was always with a smile and its BYO which is great if you dont want to pay too much for booze.

Wonderful! Must rate in the top 5 or 10 traditional style Italian restaurants in this country, albeit the location is disappointing to look at. If this place was better positioned with an upgraded decor it surely would rank amongst the world's top 100 Italian restaurants. I've experienced none much better for quailty of food and range of dishes including in Europe. Great hearty home style "like mama used to make" eating!!

A hidden Gem located on Park Street, with the Olive Tree out the front. Don't let the decor scare you! The food is second to none with something truly, for everyone. Fresh, Great portions, great value for money. An array of dishes to suit all! The classics are all there and the Special board NEVER disappoints.

I love the Prawns, The Spaghetti Clabrese, the juicy Steak, ohh and leave some room for the Chocolate Mousse and fresh Crepes!!! The staff are Fantastic. This place is Fantastic!

The BEST steaks in Melbourne (forget Vlado's & Lazar's). Great selection of other food as well... Can be a bit cramped but perhaps that is the charm of this place.
