Was there for a private function and it was a great night! Food was magnificent and the ricotta/spinach ravioli was just divine!

I think you're all crazy, the food is awesome and well priced. Sure, the service can be hit and miss but for me, the food more than makes up for it.

Another one of those change of ownership change of consistency venues, ala courthouse north melbourne. A 30 dollar steak here used to have about 50 dollars worth of value tucked inside it. A 30 dollar steak now is worth about 18 dollars. Its still a value pub on the melbourne gastro pub circuit, but its the last 10% that makes all the difference and this one doesnt quite get there.

Solid gastro-pub, but a bit on the expensive side. Chicken parma was nice, not bashed schnitzel but actually breaded chicken breast, with nice melted cheese and napoli sauce. Still, a $19 parma? That's pricey, even for Richmond. The atmosphere is really nice though, especially the outside/rear areas. Much larger than the outside implies. Needs more variety on the menu though, especially smaller dishes.

Good honest pub. Very clean and welcoming. Friendly staff and nice vibe. Sweets disappoint for price.

Great laid back setting, you will only know of it if you drive past it but it's certainly worth a look. The food was good and the service was pretty good but hard to judge as there was a new staff member working at the time. You don't know what's there until you take a look inside, bigger than you might think.
