I've been to Terra Rossa a few times now and am quite fond of it.

The ambience is great, providing an environment really conducive to a good chat over a meal.

The service has been good each time I've been there, with helpful and attentive wait staff, the meals have been very nice and the price is reasonable for the quality.

The service was great and the staff really made us feel welcome. We all had a great time and didn't want to leave. My Spanish friend really enjoyed her birthday party and said the food made her home sick. Thankyou for a great night.

Very nice fit out and realy good ambience spoiled by bad table service.They were not rude just poorly trained. I did not order the Pizza because they did not use wood fired brick oven.The pasta and rissotto were well cooked and tasty. They do not pour wine by the glass at the table- I am 99% sure I did not get what I ordered as it was late and they just wanted to finish a opened bottle.

I love it here. The place has a great feel and the service was friendly and helpful. We had dinner with friends and they liked it too. I was particularly impressed with the cheeses I had for dessert. I had mine with organic honeycomb and walnuts which was an addition but well worth it.

I don't understand the other reviews about this most wonderful bar. A colleague and I were in Melbourne last week on business and stumbled across it, luckily! We will be looking to host our next business function in Melbourne here as well. I would thoroughly recommend it. Sensational food and outstanding service. Thank you!

Hopefully our experience was a one off, with regards to the fact that yes, it does happen, our mains order was lost! There was a look of horror across the waitress' face, and although we had the offer of complimentary drinks as a substitute to keep us amused, all we were interested in by then was food! I must say, however, that the food was great. We asked for complimentary coffees at the end of the meal (was this too cheeky?), and kindly given this and offered the wine we had enjoyed as complimentary also!

So in the end, a sort of warm feeling as we left, but not as warm as it could have been if you know what I mean. The restaurant staff probably thought the same.

We came here for lunch and the service was so bad, had to get up and grab a waiter who was hanging at the bar to come take our order after waiting 20 minutes. We got the rib eye steak ($40) and the linguini with prawns ($25). The food was so average and we could've cooked better at home, for that price you expect top notch but the potatoes were dry and the pasta was just packet pasta with a sauce and prawns, nothing special at all. Won't come here again.

Horrible restaurant experience. After ordering breakfast, I went to use the ladies. Upon locking myself in the cublicle, I found there was no way out (the lock had broken off so it was one way only). After 40 minutes (no exaggeration), I managed to rattle the door so hard that I was finally able to get my tiny fingertips into the lock to get out. After 40 minutes locked in the cubicle (no one had come in to use the toilet so I wasn't able to get help that way), I was really frustrated and stressed.

I came back out to a cold soggy egg and bacon sandwich waiting at my table. The waitress said she would make sure the lock got fixed, then a manager came out to tell me he would get a builder to fix the problem. The most disgraceful thing about this is, no one offered to replace the cold and soggy sandwich, and I was to pay full price. The service here is terrible.

I visited Terra Rossa twice in one week. First visit, had a pasta with King Prawns which was incredible. The ambience of the place is wonderful and service was friendly and efficient. On the second visit just days later, a friend and I ordered the Tuesday night $47 three course meal. Wow! The meal had matching wines, and was superb. Fantastic value, just managed to fit in the pear pudding-the highlight. Told my parents to go the following Tuesday and they were equally as impressed. Love Terra Rossa, will return many times! (Especially on Tuesday evenings!)

I took my mum to Terra Rossa for dinner after a comedy festival show. I had an entertainment book voucher which is how I discovered the restaurant, the menu on the internet looked really nice. Terrible service, it took a long time for someone to take our order and I was trying to get someones attention for a good 10 minutes. No table water was given either (the table next to us got some).

The food came out luke warm, as if it had been sitting in the kitchen for at least 10 minutes. When we mentioned this at the end of the meal the waitress looked a bit perplexed and said she would talk to the chef about that, well its not the chefs fault but the lack of wait staff to deliver meals.

The food itself was average. My mum had the barramundi which was a bit too oily but would have been nice if it has been hot (it would want to be nice considering it was $35) and my gnocchi was very average, I would say la porchetta standard (not good for a $17 dish).

All in all a very average experience, I won't be returning.
