On every Sunday, Carlos performs with his band from 7:30pm to 08:30pm, he plays Sitar. Carlos is playing sitar from many years and is skilled player and now he is one of the fine sitar players in Victoria region. The Sitar is a plucked stringed instrument predominantly used in Indian classical, where it has been ubiquitous in Indian classical music since the middle Ages. It derives its resonance from sympathetic strings, a long hollow neck and a gourd resonating chamber. Used throughout the Indian subcontinent, particularly in Northern India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, the sitar became known in the western world through the work of Pandit Ravi Shankar beginning in the late 1950s, particularly after Beatle George Harrison took lessons from Shankar and played sitar in songs including Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown). The Rolling Stones used sitar in Paint It, Black and it was also used by others such as thrash metal band Metallica on the introduction of Wherever I May Roam.

Tandoori flames is an excellent restaurant. first time, I picked up a take-away dinner and must admit that I was so impressed by their goat curry . Excellent taste and quality of the food. I was very impressed, restaurant has a variety of vegetarian menu. So, if you are not a meat lover, there are plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from . Nice ambience , welcoming staff whatelse you can ask for . must try their chkn vindaloo (if you like something really hot ). Overall my experience was fantastic . Highly recommended .

Top notch service and well prepared meal. Must book table in advance as we arrived without booking but I think he must be owner (jimmy) offered us a table after 5 minutes wait though restaurant looked like fair over 100 people were dining. Mix grill is must to try and ctbm another new delicious dish. Loved the belly dance and will be back there sure again. No hesitation for recommendation.

Unfortunately it was chaos the night I ordered takeaway online. I was looking forward to the food after reading great reviews but chaos ensued. The driver gave my kids who answered the door a bag of food then ran away. It was then I noticed half the order was missing so ran outside to see him drive away. They didn't answer their phones so after 10 min of huffing I drove there. Waited in long queue to finally be given the rest of my order (30 min wait). I so was hungry I grabbed it without checking. Silly me. All the things were wrong! Was given lamb instead of chicken and none of us eat lamb but certainly wasn't going back to change it! No discount given for stuff ups. To top it all off the vegetable pakoras were so overcooked and salty they were inedible. This experience has totally put me off going here again!

I caught up with a mate for dinner at Tandoori Flames, I hadn't been for about 4 months and was looking forward to it based on the other reviews here. And it was great. We started with the wine list (it was a Friday) and chose a bottle of Georgaphe shiraj which was very good. The specials list had some Mix grill, which we tried and went really well with the wine.
Mains chosen where the Boona Ghosht and Aloo Ghobi from the menu, both were fantastic. The lamb was tender and the flavours fantastic, I often cook this dish at home, and quite like my version, but I won't be able to eat it for months now, as I just don't compare. The service was really good, professionals who do their job well, and with good humour, which made the experience all the better. Have to go back soon.

We tried this restaurant's incredible food (as a takeaway last night as a function was on the premises). The woman who served us was very polite and friendly, even though she was run off her feet with phone calls and people coming in to order (plus helping those attending the function). We waited 25 minutes for the food and it was worth every minute - my husband I agreed this was the best Indian food we have ever eaten (and I lived in the UK for 9 years where there are lots of Indian restaurants). It was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. We will definitely be telling others about the marvelous meal we had.

One of the more authentic indian restaurants we have visited. In fact, we found the food to be so fresh and flavourful that we had Tandoori Flames cater for our wedding of 250+ guests. The feedback we received from these people was phenomenal and the service provided by Tandoori Flames staff is always exceptional.
Highly recommended, especially for those who are into authentic Indian food as opposed to the butchering done by many Indian restaurants these days (with their fancy twists etc).

10/10 for Tandoori Flames. I would rate one of the best indian restaurant in west, because of delicious entree and tastiest curries on planet. My friend suggested me to visit it and trust me its worth, service was bit slow but food complete all sectors.
Highly recommended.

Recently had my son's christening for about 70 people which included children. Service was excellent and they were very accommodating to our needs as there were quite alot of preschoolers.

After we had paid for our take away order, we took a seat in the waiting area, and happily sat, waiting for our food. Another customer, also waiting to pick up her order, was disputing the bill. The woman at the counter added up the order again, and agreed that she had over charged by $3. Upon hearing that, my friend and I decided to do our own math, and added the bill ourselves.
We discovered that they had over charged us, to the tune of $11.60! The senior staff did not offer an apology, shrugged his shoulders, and agreed that we were over charged. It was hardly a minor mis calculation. To top it all off, when we arrived home we noticed that we were not given some of the food we ordered. Bad food, bad service, bad maths! The moral to this story is, check your change. Will never go to Tandoori flames again. It's a flamin' disappointment!
