Wow, what a find. One of the best lunches in Melbourne, if you want to impress business contacts with attentive service, fresh ingredients, creativity, and drop dead international quality cuisine than put this out of the way venue on your list. Briiliant.

We had a pleasant lunch with an interesting range of dishes on offer (listed on the board). Those that we chose were nicely presented and we all enjoyed our meals. The service is unobtrusive but effective. Quite a small restaurant, but the tables aren't crammed in, so it has a nice ambience.

Someone else choice the wine, so I can't comment on the range, but the pinot noir that was selected was most enjoyable! It caters for business types, so the prices reflect this although they're not unreasonable given the standard of service and the quality of the food.

This a very good Italian restaurant with great atmosphere and a seasonal menu that changes daily. The food is consistently good and authentically Italian, the wine list is well thought out and the service attentive and warm.

My only criticism of this place really (and it is a mild one) is that it is a bit more expensive than it should be. Otherwise, if you are in the mood for some really good Italian food, this is a good place to start.

The host of this restaurant makes your meal an experience. Warm, knowledgeable and accommodating, the service could not get any better. The food is creative and beautifully presented and you are left in no doubt that the ingredients are fresh. As a visitor to Australia with my mother's 60th birthday to organise, Sud helped me hugely, even going so far as to correct the name on the birthday cake that was misspelt by the bakery.

Very good Italian food - we had huge servings of everything and all guests left very happy with the food, wine and service. Recommended.

I am from London, living in Sydney and historically a frequent traveller to Tuscany. The food here is nothing short of sublime authentic Italian food. The wine list is good, the staff are excellent and the slightly concerning King Strreet Shop front does not do justice to the ambient, dining experience you are going to join.

I am happy that I frequent Melbourne often and on a recent four day trip visited Sud three lunches out of four and left every time with a huge smile on my face and a very content feeling. This really is a must visit restaurant. Hats off to you at Sud.

This place has great food and an excellent wine list. Most enjoyable is the staff fine-tuning the meal and especially the wine not just to the food, but to your personal tastes at that time. True art in motion. Whenever I head down to Melbourne for business or pleasure, I always look forward to an evening at Sud!

Fantastic fun place. Great food with knowledgable staff, supported by a great wine list. The waiter's descriptions of the dishes make you want to eat them all. Small intimate and not too noisy.
