I am so happy that this old pub at the top end of my street got tarted up. The West is really showing everyone what can be served up over the bridge. I have been here a number of times and it never disappoints. Whether you are dining in the bar or the restaurant you will love this comfy corner pub. The steaks are cooked to perfection the chips are fat and fluffy; fish & chips are buttery and delectable the salad with peas is the nicest one I have ever had... it's worth getting the fish & chips just for this!; my fiance is obsessed with the steak & kidney pie, being a Yorkshireman he has high pie standards! He has now ordered this dish 4 times and maintains it's the best pie he has ever eaten; I love the desserts and stinky cheese board this place is the business. It's not a cheap pub meal but you are paying for top notch service and top quality food you will love this place and return over and over again... don't forget to make a booking this place is busy every night of the week. Keep up the good work - love this local gem.

The location of this place left a little to be desired but once you get past it, wow what an awesome place to have lunch! The menu is French based with a lovely selection of steaks. My steak was cooked exactly the way I liked, medium rare. The steak came on a large plate with chips And a flavoursome salad. We also had entrees before hand. Try the white bait! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the ambience was perfect.

I am so delighted that I live one block away from this amazing restaurant. This place proves that you dont need to pay $50 for a decent steak - I've had 5 different steaks from here and they were all very good. The fries are very delicious, and the perfect portion of salad comes with it. However, other types of mains I didn't have much luck with, although I cant wait to try their lambsbrain. I have taken my family and friends here and whenever they visit me from Sydney, they want to come back here. Has definitely become a favourite of my husband and I!

A fantastic meal in a great location. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the CBD, The Station Hotel is a definite 'Gastro-pub'. I am so happy about the fact that I no longer have to cross the Westgate in order to get a decent meal. Great staff, fresh seafood and the steaks cooked perfectly. Loved it!

Fantastic place and really enjoyable for somewhere new to go. I like it because it is still relaxed even if you just eat in the bar area instead of the dinning room. Good work I'll be back while the standards stay high!

I have been here several times and this place never gets it wrong whether you dine mid week for lunch or on a Saturday night for dinner. The staff are always professional and knowledgeable.

The ambience is fantastic whether you sit in the restaurant or out in the beer garden, I do prefer the beer garden on a warm summers night for that more relaxed vibe. As far as the food is concerned the steak is out of this world and other options I have tried have also been brilliant. The menu is always changing so regulars can enjoy a variety of choices and culinary experiences.

An impressive wine list and good clean crisp beer on tap add to ticking all the boxes. This place is a must visit not only for steak lovers but anyone who enjoys good food, wine, beer and service. Book on weekends, but if you don't you might end up in the beer garden which is not a bad thing.

WoW. Doesn't really live up to my stereotype of a pub in Footscray. This place is a gem, and kinda hidden. I wanna keep it to myself. And picking up on the 'regulars' vibe I say most people have been. I almost drove past it, from the outside its So plain. Which adds to the hidden gem feel.

Easily best steak I have Ever had. 500 gram T-bone with pepper sauce. Great simple food. A friend had the pork schnitzel which was mouth wateringly good.
Atmosphere is vibrant and happy, if not a bit busy. The staff are so professional. Its a busy place but its all handled with a smile and a joke. Fantastic beer and wine list. We had a bottle of cab merlot which was seriously out of this world. Oh and dessert, save space for sticky date pudding And the creme brulee. So So So good.
Can't wait to go back again and again and again.

I eat at the Station Hotel at least once a week. Although the place is known for it's steaks I find the fish fantastic and always fresh. The chocolate mousse is to die for. The atmosphere is just right and the service is always great.

What can I say? What an amazing dinner! I'm a steak lover. I eat steak at least 3 times a week. I had the 400 gm new yorker and it was a perfect medium rare! I opted to have mash instead of chips. The mash was slightly over seasoned but not overly. It was still delicious and creamy! I love this place and I love that it is 5 minutes from my place. I would definitely go back. The waiter we had was a bit of an arrogant detestable person but the rest of the staff were great!
