Steak is probably my favourite food, and this was probably the best steak I've ever had. I went all out and got the eye fillet with blue cheese sauce, and would definitely recommend it. I should mention that, unlike pub steak, getting the sauce isn't necessary as the steak is succulent and dripping with juices and a smokey marinade just by itself.

My boyfriend got the 300g steak and it was just as hunky as he is. (He is hunky.) Food was served quickly and the staff were terrific - really pleasant without being creepy. Best of all, we polished off everything and weren't in pain afterwards. It was a really comfortable amount of food. If I was really rich, I would eat here every day. As it is, I'd recommend it to anyone who is happy to drop a lot of money on a really good meal.

Fantastic restaurant that a lot of other restaurants should pay attention to. They do one thing - steaks - and they do them extremely well. That's it. No odd mixture of different dishes from around the world and this is what restaurants should strive for - be great at one thing. It must have one of the best repeat-customer records in Melbourne.

I want the recipe to the marinade. The meat is brilliant, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The blue cheese sauce is sublime. The wines and steaks come with a price tag, but given the quality and location, it's fairly priced. Service is solid, but the interior can get a little loud and clunky. I would say it's the best steak in Melbourne and a massive success. Highly recommended.

Excellent steaks and ribs and I am not really a meat eater. Must have the blue cheese sauce, divine. Visit this place regularly. If you are looking to go, you must book as they get very busy even on week nights. Excellent service. Would highly recommend this place. It smells amazing from the outside too!

As soon as we walked in the door we felt welcome, every1 must try the garlic source and the sticky date pudding with butterscotch source. The service was fantastic and exceptional. 10/10. Thanx guys.

Went to Squires Loft on a Saturday night for my going away drinks. Booked a table for 9 of us. The food was amazing, no one could fault it. The steak and sauce were perfect. Even the chips were cooked excellent. Wouldn't normally spend that much on dinner/steak but for a special occasion definitely worth the money!

Some of the best steaks my partner and I have had, have been at this place. The different sauces and the chips are definitely out of this world. It is a bit pricey, but the food quality more than sufficiently covers it up.

I'm vegetarian, but on Sunday's Anzac Day there was not much choice within walking distance of our hotel. But, I'm happy to report there were 4-5 options for me on this meat heavy, but surprisingly diverse menu.

Husbie had a steak with the best chips I've ever stole from his plate and I had the veggie platter (2 kebabs + hot potato - that was cooked perfectly!) and we had nice beer and wine choices. It was a little pricey for vego foods, but the mushroom sauce and everything tasted great. We had no booking, and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful considering there was 3 massive birthday party groups.

I'd like to go back as there was a cheese option for starters, and a mushroom/feta bake thing I'd like to try. (Mind you, just checked the address, and we were definitely at Squires Loft, 1 Queens Road, not the Toorak Road listed here, has it moved?).

My partner raved about this place so much I had to try it. Even my dad who is very pedantic about his steaks, loves this place, as did my mum and friends.

One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. My medium rare eye fillet came out just that, not medium or medium well like other places. The blue cheese sauce gave my meal a nice robust feel, without overpowering. My partner and his friend as usual thoroughly enjoyed their steaks. Chips were nice and crunchy, not soggy, oily strips. We couldn't even make a dent in the salad we ordered (hoping to have a balanced meal.. haha).

The waitress was very nice, and let me have a taste of a wine I couldn't decide on. Looked after us well. I've heard many friends say the city Squires has gone downhill, but this one was excellent when we went. A bit expensive to be eating regularly, but nice as a treat. Wines were expensive. We're planning to go again with a few other people. Downside is it gets very noisy but we try and go during weekdays. A nice treat!

Good steak and cooked accordingly. The steak sauce were very nice as well. Could do better with the chips as it looked like those bought from supermarkets. Staff were friendly (but not overly friendly that it gets annoying). Price is similar to other steak places, but not the most expensive steak I've had. The place has a nice "wooden" feel that is comforting. All in all, it was a good experience. Have been there plenty of times and wouldn't stop going.
