I think the food here is delicious. The food and booze is decently priced, the staff friendly and food came to our table reasonably quickly. My concern is there weren't many people in the restaurant, which doesn't make sense. I really liked it.

We have tried every Indian restaurant in the area and so far no other restaurant provides the kind of food which spice village does, its amazing. I like hot food but my wife always stick with mild ones like butter chicken, bombay beef, lamb korma, prawns malabar etc. There's a lot too choose for her from the menu and in my case they have put up a special menu of 10 dishes which are not available anywhere else and I bet no one would have even heard about them, they are awesome. We love going to Spice Village.

We found this restaurant by accident and were really surprised by the excellent food they served. Great value for money, we will certainly return and have no hesitation recommending it to others

I frequent this restaurant a lot and have found the food delicious and the people delightful. The only thing that worries me is that it is often empty and I don't want this gem to close! I hope the owners will increase marketing and publicity to inform the community of the great value and encourage people to come and taste the wonderful cuisine.

This site has had several restaurants over the years, and Spice Village opened some time (?) last year. Small (maybe 12 tables) and unremarkable from the outside, this is a real find. Mains are, at about $9, great value (25% cheaper than Tandoori Cottage down the road). The Tandoori Mushrooms not quite as good as the last-named, but every other dish has been great. A big TV showing Bollywood movies gives the only ambience, and with only one waitress the service can sometimes be slow but the food really is worth waiting for.

Takeaways are also great, and the wines on offer are very reasonably priced if you don't want to take your own. We eat there, or get take-away, as we live nearby, often, and that is all I need to say. Not always as good as others, but top of the heap for value, and I hope it survives the stiff competition. They already have a great chef, but I suspect they need a marketing plan if they are not to disappear within 3 years, as 4 out of 4 do.
