Great food from this little suburban restaurant. The food was flavoursome and we were given very generous servings. The waitstaff were shy but very attentive. I will return here to either dine in or take away.

Went there last week, service is great and food is amazing, the best butter chicken I have ever had in Melbourne. Sizzling platter is pricey but worth every single cents. The decor of the place is not so great, but food and service is great so I can live with the decor.

Staff was welcoming, but once seated service was slow, there were two tables of about 8 diners each that were getting all the attention. Our entree plates were stone cold, luckily we had time to warm them on the candle in the centre of the table.

The expected Boti kebab arrived in the guise of Barra kebabs (Lamb chops) we had started before we noticed it was wrong so we didn't mention it. The Barra kebabs and the garlic coated chicken were very nice if a little salty. We requested the main course plates be warmed, this was attended to, portions were good, the meat was mostly lean, but all dishes were way too salty.

We found that this restaurant also had (IRS) Indian Restaurant Syndrome, a condition we have termed during our twenty years+ of indian dining most weekends. IRS is failure to take used glasses and plates away from the table, (tip to waiter: never leave the table empty handed), completely ignoring the diners once the main course is over, and these unattentive restaurants usually have very dirty toilets, uncleaned for many weeks. Sizzle is no exception.

Went here last night and got the worst service ever. The staff were incompetent. We ordered the set menu and waited over an hour and a half for entrees that never came. I will never go back and will tell everyone to give this place a big miss.

I have lived around the corner from this restaurant for 4 years and have never visited until last week that is and only after reading the reviews on this website.
I think part of what has kept me away is the name, "Sizzle India", it sounds like an Indian fast food place. This is anything but.

OK, standard reviews for good Indian restaurants start with " The best Indian in Melbourne...", well let me tell you, this is actually it. From the abundant and fresh spices in the saffron rice to the beautifully balanced and executed dahl to the generous and flavorful and tender goat curry.

If you like Indian food and you are anywhere within 50kms of this place, give it a go. You will never accept the usual "disappointing stuff" that passes for Indian food in this town ever again.

Very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, great outdoor dining for small groups of funtions. The food is simple, authentic and absolutely scrumptious. Very low pricing. I would recommend dining with 5 or more for a great but cheap night out

Great place for Indian food, Smiling and helpful staff makes the time spent great and delicious food. Got outdoor dining place under the stars. Sizzle India made my time there great. Good value for food, all the dishes are priced pretty low.
