This was the worst restaurant ever! I paid 28.50 for fish and chips that I couldn't even finish because the fish was limp and the chips were soaked in oil! And when I went to complain, the senior staff just said this "ok we'll take that back to the chef"

No apology, no offer of another meal, no nothing! And then she had the nerve to tell me "well we've served a lot of these today and no one else has complained"!

And then when we went to pay, 25 of us, they advised no split bills. Would have been nice to know that Before coming to the restaurant.

Absolutely appalling service and very long wait times. Our party of 3 walked out after running out of patience, and sick of waiting for our first drinks to arrive, not to mention our order. Staff member was extremely rude about the delay, simply stating that they were busy, with no acknowledgement of unacceptable wait times for service, or respect for our time and custom. Restaurant was not full, and clearly understaffed.

Nice location but average food, very greasy. The dressing doesn't really match the food for the 3 meals that we ordered. Vegetables not cooked enough and drown in butter. The place is not really amazing either, they didn't even have tablecloth. But the location and view are both really nice so everything is overpriced.

Eaten there before happily, its a wonderful location and nice enough food but on this latest occasion they lost my booking before they had taken it. The woman was terribly rude on the phone and I thought, why bother?

Nice view but that does not give the owners licence to serve poor food at overinflated prices. Small win list at high prices. The food was nice but not the standard the price indicates, however, still nice food. Service was ok. Bistro very noisy but expect that on a Sunday lunch time. Again, with 6 adults, no problem.

The one dish that was a problem was not handled well. We were happy to pay the bill as we had eaten all the food. One meal was salmon wrapped in prosciutto. This person has a degree in nutrition/food science and said the prosciutto was "off", I would say rancid. It had a bad smell. This person was able to eat the fish with no problems. We informed the waiter and he returned with the answer that prosciutto when cooked with the salmon became salty. No one had mentioned salt, but, we left it there. No point in continuing, except to say we will not return nor recommend this place ever.

I have tried every eatery in Williamstown but have never been to Sirens. I had read many varies reviews for Siren's so wasn't really sure what to expect. I arrived and was shown to my table (with a sea view as requested) and the waiter took our drinks order after being left for a couple of minutes. He then explained the specials in detail and we shared a mixed dip and ordered two mains from the specials menu. The dips arrrived shortly and were very fresh/tasty with an ample amount of warm bread.

We were asked how long before we wanted the mains and they arrived right on time. They were both superb, I had the seafood Paella and my wife had the gourmet Chicken pizza. Both meals were very tasty and the serves were generous. The service from our waiter was excellent and he had a knack of only appearing when we needed him. I would not hesitate to go back to this fine eatery and for people to complain about trivial things makes me wonder if they went here at all.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the drinks/ambience and value, as when I booked a table for myself and my partner for my birthday dinner, my reservation was taken, although I was never asked whether I wanted to make a booking for the restaurant or the bistro.

When we arrived we were taken to a table at the bistro, when we questioned this and said we thought we had booked for the restaurant, the waitress merely said the restaurant is full, 'sorry', and that was it. We left as the casual bistro was not what I had in mind. Very disappointed with the service and the treatment received. Would not go back there and definitely won't be recommending this restaurant to others.

Nice art deco place with big booths to spread out in or sit out back and take in some sun. Generous enough portions albeit rather up-priced. Good variety to pick from and one of the better Williamstown restaurants. Waitstaff attentive.

I booked this restaurant for my husbands birthday. When we arrived, the place was empty. I was expecting a little more ambience and felt like I was talking to people in tunnel. We were greeted by a women who obviously could not be bothered being there and seemed as though she had taken orders for the millionth time. She was very casually dressed, as though she had come back from the gym.

I ordered the Calzone. When it came it wasn't cooked all the way through. I told the waitress but she offered no suggestion. I did not want to eat raw dough. We did not order anything else, left straight away and have never been back since. Would not recommend.

Very disappointing dinner. The food was overpriced and bland, and while the view is incredible, the overall atmosphere/ambience was ordinary. The service was good up until the meals arrived, 2 of our party were left waiting for 20 minutes while other tables were served. The senior staff abused someone who dared to complain. Knocking the 2 meals off the bill is no way to make up for such appalling treatment by management staff.
