One of my favourite restaurants. Delicious food (Delicious wagu beef and seafood) with wide selection of desserts, Nice decor, Good service, Reasonable price with set menus available. A very busy place so best to book in advance. If you love japanese you have to try this restaurant.

Very poor service and rude staff, some food items are not fresh especially seafood. Bad value for money! You can get better service and food quality for the same price somewhere else. My first time here will be the last.

Have been there for 4 times and never ever felt satisfied with the service. On my first visit, we asked for water and the staff did not give it to us until we finished eating (although we already asked for it like how many times). On the second visit, the same thing happened again. But, this time, it was even worse because the senior staff argued with us. We asked for water again for several times, and they always said "okay, it's coming". But, we waited for almost 15 minutes and nothing came up.

Then, the senior staff came to us asking if there was anything that she could help, we asked her why the drink was not served, in fact one of the staff had already prepared it. Apparently, the senior staff instructed her staff not to serve the water. She argued that it is her restaurant's policy to prioritise customers that buy drinks (not tap water). We thought, even in a fine dining restaurant, if we ask for tap water, they would give us straight away.

The senior staff then said, "Don't compare us to other restaurants. We have our own standard." We are like what the hell! Till finally she said sorry and she served the water. On the third visit, I expected I might get a better service. But still, there was another customer service problem again. We already made a reservation at 9 pm.

Arriving there on time, but we had to wait for the table for 45 minutes! I think they do not make a priority for bookings. The senior staff (same woman) told us it would not be long. And it turned out to be 45 minutes?! She knew we were unhappy about that so she gave us two melon juices for free and kept saying her apology.

On the fourth visit, I was hoping for a better service again, but then it did not turn out to be like that. We made a booking but there was no table again. This time, we had to wait for 20 minutes. FYI, in this restaurant, you need to keep asking for something A Few Times until they will give it to you! I was so annoyed with the waitress, when she wanted to take my plate Three Times while I was still eating. I was like please can't you see that I was still going with the food?!

This would be my last time having dinner there. I promise I won't never ever come back again! The food is good and that is the only reason why I went there 4 times. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are many restaurants in Melbourne that provide excellent food and service out there. Just don't go to this place! All of their senior staff and staff need to take a lesson in how to manage a restaurant.

The quality of the beef was top notch and beautiful presentation just made me want to revisit it even more! However, the service could be worked on as I got my napkin “drenched” by the waitress who was refilling my cup. Apologies were made but there was no replacement. T_T All in all, I will definitely go back for the beef and Taro icecream any time!
