I ate here for breakfast with some friends from Port Melbourne. Brekkie for me was poached egg with crunchy grilled asparagus, beautiful creamy Hollandaise and the best smoked salmon I've ever tasted. My husband had a delicate mushroom bruschetta with soft goats cheese and sweet balsamic. The coffee was perfect and service was attentive.

The staff were friendly and the owner knew my friends by name and came over to introduce himself. If I were local to the area I'd be in here every weekend, if I could get a table. A great place to bring the dogs along too: there's a quiet courtyard out the back and big comfortable tables out the front. I will definitely be back.

Coffee was brilliant. Meal was simple but so really full of flavour. Love the atmosphere and the furniture (in particular a centrepiece which is a classic door turned into a long table, very clever). Highly recommend the steak sandwich.
