I thought we were off to a good start. Waiting staff were polite and attentive. They even replaced the table glasses with Riedel Vinum Burgundy stemware when we only ordered a bottle of pinot noir costing $68. (Note: The Press Club in the city told me that they do not supply Riedel stemware for wines ordered at this price point).

Entree (king prawn and scallop) were well presented and came out within 15 minutes of ordering.

Main course was disappointing. Came out exactly one hour after entree. The "crispy skin half duck confit" was roasted and not confit. The skin was not crispy either.

Sette Bello has potential to be the best fine dining restaurant in the SE suburbs. Perhaps, we chose the wrong day to visit? (Probably deserves a second chance).

I can promise (for what it's worth) that I don't give these marks out lightly. My girlfriend and I enjoy eating out quite often and have had some fantastic experiences at different restaurants, but for consistent brilliance, sette bello tops our list. We have been there atleast 10 times and have still yet to find something that didn't contribute to a fantastic night. Order anything on the menu and you'll be delighted, but let me give you a tip: if the fish of the day is the swordfish, order it!

You'll receive a steak of moist seafood that melts in your mouth sitting atop a mound of fluffy mash potato. Finish with the spinge (Italian 'doughnuts) and a nice digestivo, add in impeccable service and 'bello' doesn't even come close to describing the experience.

Awesome place to dine, they have lots of experience and it shows, very hard to fault anything at this restaurant. Have been a number of times over the last few months and have always enjoyed the experience and walked out happy!
