Great place, lovely decor, open fire etc. Food was really good, would have liked more entree options though and give desserts a miss but the mains were sensational enough to excuse this.
Owner is extremely over the top, so take you sense of humour along. Service by young staff was a bit patchy. We will return.
Lovely on a cold winter’s day, with open fire and hot food. Service was great. The owner is a bit over the top, so if you are easily offended this is probably not for you.
Whilst visiting Macedon ranges we decided to have a lunch at this place. The place is beautifully decorated which invites you in maybe even for the rest of the afternoon. There is two sections, bar and the restaurant, with two menus (bar and restaurant). Bar is surrounded by wine bottles as it's also bottle shop, any wine purchased there for your meal attracts $10 corkage.
We decided to eat from the bar menu as we weren't that hungry to have big restaurant meals for lunch. Calamari was sensational light lunch, bangers and mash bit hoh hum. Service was friendly and the owner "entertained" screamingly, great guy although some people could be offended, not us. Lovely place for a meal or spend the afternoon/evening.
