As close to a perfect lunch as you can get, food was brilliant, wine exquisite, bright sunny day, fantastic views (not to mention perfect company). Anyone who whinges about the food (a little pricey, but well worth it!) or ambience probably needs to go back to Boganland and visit their local KFC or MacDonalds!!

Our waiter knew his stuff and was attentive without being in your face and the service was first class, his tip on the Mitchelton Botrytis with dessert (caramelised banana) was a winner. The scallops were amazing as was the moreton bay bugs and the prawns with white asparagus and clams - YUM!!

I loved this restaurant. Let's start with the friendly welcome, comfortable chairs and open, light, breezy dining room (we were there for lunch). Then on to the waiting staff knowing the details of the specials and the dishes on the menu. Attentive but not overbearing service, glasses filled, plates quickly cleared etc. Then move on to the availability of a sommelier. I requested a buttery Chardonnay and he delivered. I could not find a fault with the floor staff or the room itself.

Then on to the food. It's as good as I have eaten in the past 6 months. I started with the Pork Belly and Crab Claw (the restaurant is predominantly seafood but I can rarely go past pork belly). This dish was beautifully balanced, the salty, crisp pork belly, the apple puree to cut through the salt and add some acid and a sweet little crab claw.

Followed this with the roast snapper main. Perfectly cooked fish, great accompanying salad and thick cut chips also cooked to perfection. My 3 dining partners were also effusive about their meals.

I had the cheese at the end and after all that had gone before, just what I'd expect, great cheeses ready for eating and at room temperature. On my experience here I really find it hard to find a fault with this place. If you like seafood I really recommend that you try Seagrass.

Overpriced, arrogant staff, definitely better seafood restaurants in Melbourne!! Don't waste your time!

Absolutely superb, freshest seafood ever. Had oysters with cured trout and wild lime, unbelievable. And then an entree size moreton bay bugs, which came with salad and chips. Dessert was simply divine, a chocolate pudding with moten, mint-flavoured chocolate inside. Service was faultless too, although I thought that the restaurant itself was a bit bare. Concrete floors and very simple table settings, but I guess it didn't distract from the view. I liked the look of the 'private' dining room (if thats what it was). I would recommend a visit!
