I lived in the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana) for a little while and loved the food. The atmosphere here is not upmarket but certainly friendly and nice. This is the second time I've been here in as many months, and, unfortunately, the food and particularly the service has not been great. On my first visit the food was not bad, the service was a little slow but still not too bad.

Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, the famous chicken drumettes were severely burnt and they forgot our order for a main and only told us they were out of goat after I went up to the counter to ask over an hour later. I generally don’t complain, I just don’t come back but this is, unfortunately, the worst dining experience I've had. Such a shame, was keen for it to be a favourite since I'm a local.

I don't know if this is Jamacian food at it's best but it doesn't matter it was really good! It's obviously a cheap eats place so don't expect super decor or anything like that but who cares when the food is good and the price is good?
The jerk chicken was soft and tender and lovely and the side dishes were really good. The fish was also good and the... I'll call it stewed vegies since I don't know what it was but they were yummy and a really nice way of presenting some vegies.

Beware the chilli sauce. It seems mild but packs a punch! I really enjoyed it and our table really enjoyed writing all over the table clothes with the provided texta's as our discussions got lively.

This place is great! loved the food, the vibe, the staff (Dom and Sassy) were friendly. I felt at home and totally welcomed. I'll be bringing my friends and dates to Sassy's for sure!

Great place! Awesome atmosphere, delicious food. Jerk chicken and the fish, yum! Their chilli sauce like the previous review said, pretty hot but so good. The guys are really nice. When we went up to pay sassy even just stood there chatting with us for ages, nice guy and again like the guy before me said, we didn't notice the specials until sassy said "no one's tried my goat curry today!" pointing to the specials board, when we were paying. We didn't even know there was a specials board! So check it out when you go and you should go. Will definitely be going back.

This place has a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive service, and felt very "homely" - there are only 3 entrees and 4 mains on the menu (and a "Banquet" option).

Make sure you keep a look out for the specials board, we didn't know about it until after we'd paid, which was a shame because I would have liked to have tried the goat curry.

The roti was very nice, as was the coconutty vegetable curry that came along with it. The standout though was definitely the jerk chicken! The fish was also good though. Chili lovers - make sure you try their crazily hot homemade Jamaican chili paste!

Will be coming back here again for sure.
