After reading previous reviews Remy seemed like a place worth trying. A great choice it was friendly and casual and the food hit top marks. We tried 5 different tapas only the chorizo bite was a let down. A veal seafood and 2 pasta dishes for main were all well received and the night finished even better with desserts. A good wine list but byo is a good option at 5 dollars a bottle. Top marks to Remy.

A large number of tapas are offered, consistent with the Spanish theme. Although the rest of the menu spans a wide range, many of the dishes are tried and true. We had the tapas platter to start, which was pleasant enough although possibly a little on the expensive side for what we got. The bouillabaisse, fettuccine, veal marsala and veal scaloppine were all fine and the desserts were great. The restaurant is an interesting shape, and has a nice atmosphere. The service was attentive and dealt with our allergy issue competently.

My husband took me here for dinner mid-week and it was a joy! The food was excellent, the staff are lovely and real (none of this snobby nonsense - or desperation to impress!) and they don't rush you through your courses.

Try to be seated on the left hand side, near the bar, as it has a lovely feel to it, almost like a bistro in Paris. I was brought up in Europe and this is as close as you will get in Melbourne. I loved it and will be returning very soon.

I have eaten here for lunch and dinner many times. The staff are very nice and helpful, and also a joy to serve you. The food is presented well and also lovely to eat. I travel all over the world and this cafe is hard to fault. I'm impressed!!!
