Rama Thai is probably my favourite thai place in Melbourne.

The price is good, particularly with the takeaway discount and the food is great, although I find the entrees are a little oily.

Ordered take away. Food was awful, worst Thai I have eaten and whatever the first review says not authentic at all (I too have been to Thailand). I have never written a review before but this was so bad I made an exception. By the way, it was also half an hour late.

This is an excellent Thai restaurant. Food is cheap and excellent. It's always busy and might be a good idea to book on a friday.

Service was slow (approx 20 minutes before entree and approx 30 minutes between entree and main) even though we were the second table to arrive and we ordered before another 6 tables arrived. This was frustrating as we saw many people come and collect their take-away orders in the meantime. Having said that, the food was fantastic! Average price of a main was $15. I would encourage anybody to go there, just not if they were in a rush!

This is one of Melbourne's great treasures of a restaurant. Staff greet you with a genuine happiness and the food is glorious. It will become a favorite for you.

I have been to Thailand and for me Rama Thai is the closest thing to the real Thai experience. The food is fresh and just brimming with flavours, service friendly and the food comes out pretty fast. I recommend the green curry, pad thai and any chicken or beef dish. The calamari salad was also great. My goal is to try everything on the menu!

Rama Thai is also affiliated with member discounts with for example Virgin mates rates where you get 20% off the menu (up to $25). It is great value for money anyway, I do not recall any dish being over $20.
