Went there last night with table of 16 last minute booking manager was really polite and very accommodating being cold and miserable winter night. He gave us a nice table by the fire place and was really attentive all night. Staff were polite, quick, food was great, highly recommend to anyone. The manager gave me his number said anytime sir that's what we are hereto give people an experience. Just shows people still love hospitality and are passionate about it still. Bravo

Recently had a birthday celebration at Waterfront. A group of 7 with three hour parking out front. Ordered mains and dessert, received our dessert 15 minutes before our parking expired. Yes 2 1/2 hour for main and clean up. Our poor server was run off his feet with quite a large area to service, they seriously need to employ more staff.

Food was delicious but waiting for dessert and our coffees caused a great deal of stress, worrying about that parking ticket. Employ more staff guys!

Wonderful food and service. Perfect winter meals with fireplace and view of the bay. Attentive but unobtrusive service. Somewhere special without the extra special price. The duck is to die for, although the new risotto menu should be experienced. And don't forget the cheese platter with a lovely frecinet Pinot.

Exceptional service from staff. Very professional in their manner the last time we were there. Food was lovely, and they even were accommodating to my food sensitivities. Sitting outside on a nice day is wonderful. Having a cocktail and meze enjoying an evening with friends sublime. Or by the fireplace on a day like today. Going for brunch tomorrow.

Bonus point for being open on Good Friday for lunch. Was really starting to struggle to find a place to have a nice meal. Obviously my plan of a food and wine weekend away in Melbourne lacked some logical thinking by way of doing it on the Easter Weekend.

Nice setting across from Port Phillip Bay. My char grilled kangaroo with potato and fennel was nice, my partners stir fried vegies dish resembled something closer to a soup and wasn't great.

Rest of the pub looked quite cool. Footpath seating, outdoor section offering tapas and a dimmed section to chill out with cocktail or wine.

I got recommended to go here by a retired chef, I thought he must have an idea. Well I can tell you that it is the best chinese I have had in my life as well as the people that we took. I love chinese and have it often as well as make it, this place is just perfect in every way. Now if I want chinese I have to drive from Carrum Downs to Port Melbourne. Flavours so fresh and Clean. Tried 10 different dishes so far and everyone is amazing.

Very pleasant lunch venue, chilli tiger prawns outstanding, excellent service. Our table was very close to the front bar, which was a little noisy. Definitely go back.

Great relaxed feel, had the paella and linguine as well a seafood chowder. All were very good, the service was excellent with all staff very attentive and caring and the setting outside was relaxed and carefree. Recommended ++

The menu has plenty of tempting options and I choose a open breakfast sandwich with avocado puree, fresh ham off the bone and a zingy tomato salsa and poached egg on the side.

The menu is varied and there are plenty of tasty dishes to tempt everyone, the tempura oysters that we start with are so good, crispy outer with a big, soft butter fresh oysters encased in a tempura batter of shredded potato, carrot and red onion and served with a yum lime mayo.

When you need a good breakfast and a beautifully fresh squeezed juice you should head to good old Velvet Bar on Bay Street. It’s been there a long time and the menu doesn’t change much, it doesn’t need to they are on to a winner!

Is there anywhere that does better home-made pasta in Melbourne? It's quite a claim, I know, but Ciao Cielo is right up there. This is a cosy little restaurant on Bay Street, Port Melbourne, and there is a real connection with the customer here.

Service has that perfect laid back pitch, while retaining total professionalsim, and the menu speaks strongly of knowing their target market. The pasta in question was the Beetroot and Ricotta Ravioli with Moreton Bay Bug Tails and Truffle Butter, just fabulous. It left enough room for The Churros - Spanish Doughnuts with Lindt melted chocolate.

This dish is a must, but highlights something else about Ciao Cielo. While there is a strong Italian influence on the menu, there are hints of other Mediterranean cuisines dotted throughout the menu. I think Ciao Cielo will go from strength to strength.
