I dine out a great deal in the Camberwell area and this was by far the worst value for money meal I have experienced.

Poor Performance across the board, staff were so rude, and unprofessional it ruined the whole night.

I took my wife,my mother in law and my two kids for dinner at Poppy's Thai restaurant at Camberwell. the food was excellent,very healthy food. I can tell because I can't have MSG. So I'm very confident with Poppy's food. Compare the the thai restaurant cross the road. I think Poppy's food are more healthy tasty and value. I highly recommended the masamman beef. is the best masamman beef in local. Talking about health food. I definitely recommend Poppy's Thai restaurant at Camberwell.

Poppy must have new owners. Previously their sweet and sour chicken was made from fresh chicken and was a regular dining option for our family. Now the chicken when we could find a piece among the batter and grease that was served to us was brown and terrible. The cost of the dish's were very high and what was meant to be a great birthday dinner turned out to be an expensive waste of time. Very disappointing. Could have got the same meal at Chadstone foodcourt for a quarter of the price!

Downhill slide with loss of custom to classier digs across the road. Recent meal had almost inedible chilli-laden larp gai and watery red 'duck' curry (apparently).

My husband had his 60th Birthday at Poppy's which was a great success thank you to Ricki and his staff at Poppy's in Camberwell. Poppy's organized the decorating of the room with balloons and streamers. The food and service were excellent.
I would definitely recommend Poppy's in Camberwell.

I doubt home cooked Thai can merely compare to the food at this place. Exceptionally good food, the best by far I have ever tried. This is a cheap dine out but still my favourite in Melbourne. I live about 45 min away and I'm going there tonight and I would drive over an hour for food at Poppy's.

I was not impressed with the food here. Probably the worst Thai food I have had.
I ordered the calamari which said on the menu lightly dusted with salt and chilli. The calamari arrived crumbed like you would find at your local fish and chip shop or tavern. The only thing thai about this dish was the sweet chilli sauce that accompanied it.

The Thai Green curry was fairly bland and didn't compare to other places I have eaten. My fiance said he preferred the one I cook at home. Would not recommend. There are better places for Thai in Melbourne.

Great Thai food in a double storey building in Bourke Road, Camberwell. Good service. Setting a little dated but comfortable. Very reasonable prices - the banquets are good too - with a good variety of dishes. BYO wine a plus as I like to take my own when dining. Will return.

This place is my favourite restaurant in Melbourne and I eat out a hell of a lot. The food is exceptional and the service second to none. To top it all off the prices are fairly reasonable as well. Excellent place to take family, friends or dates. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. The only thing that's a little annoying is that it doesn't open until 6:30pm which on the weekends is a little late. There's been a few times I have thought of dropping in for a bite on the way home from the football but can't.
