Arrived at the restaurant for brunch purposes, the food took about half an hour to come out. I ordered an eggs Benedict the eggs were cold, the toast was burnt leaving a chargrilled taste at the end of the meal. Customer service was of appalling standard, mainly due to reserved, cold arrogant waiters. My side order was forgotten and brought out after my meal was nearly finished. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Had breakfast as part of 'the melbourne weekend' - the french toast was alright, could use more egg than milk. The big breakfast was pretty standard, although probably would've appreciate it if the toast was not burnt. Located in the nice 'typical-melbourne alleyway', the ambience wasn't bad. The price was a bit steep for breakfast for 2, but very typical of a city restaurant.

This was one of the most unpleasant meals I've ever had the privilege of eating. Lured by the tasty sounding tapas on the menu, my friend and I ordered the Vegetarian Taste Plate to share and a side of Shallow Fried Marinated Chicken Wings for her. The Baked Tofu was served in a bath of extremely salty soy sauce and the Zucchini Fritters were balls of tasteless mash sitting on top of slivers of zucchini soaked in a cheap lime vinaigrette. The olives were obviously of poor quality and the Fried pumpkin and goat cheese Gnocchi was made edible only after being drowned in roquette pesto. Being a vegetarian I can't comment on the chicken wings however they looked to be the best part of our disastrous meal.

Had lunch there recently. Liked the interesting Tapas menu. The truffle infused popcorn is a novel idea well realised. Adored the jamon with tomato concasse and loved the kalamari and chorizo. Very attentive and professional staff and great menu. Recommended

For a restaurant with 9 people seated I was surprised. Scallop and lobster tagliatelle was tasteless, eye fillet with pan fried beans and a bacon and potato pie had over cooked steak and cold beans. (I don't think the kitchen staff tests the food before serving it or plans out his delivery and timing), sides were also tasteless, sweet potato wedges sat on the serving bench for 10 minutes before being served to us which left them sloppy.

Dessert was a winner chocolate fondant. Value for money - No Way. Ambience and service was good because there wasn't anyone in the joint.

Dined at POP for the first time over the weekend. Food was amazing. We enjoyed the 2 course for $29 special. The service was fantastic we will be back very soon to try their delicious looking a la carte menu. Will be back for sure.

In relation to proximity excellent all round as a restaurant compared to a large range of great melbourne restaurants, needs work but lots of potential. As compared to melbourne all round, really tasty food but cooking too many dishes to be coherent. If you were in the area probablly going to be a great night out.

Had a great time at POP restaurant. Have been to all of the restaurants on Hardware lane and tis one is arguably the best. The eye fillet was possibly one of the best steaks I have ever had and the chocolate fondant I shared with my wife was beautiful. My daughter enjoyed the homemade gnocchi and the French waiter who seemed a little arrogant at first was extremely friendly and knew he product better than a lot of other service people I have encountered. Overall Had a great night at POP.
