Took my Boss for dinner on Tuesday night to Pescare. The service was just excellent and the food was really good. As advised we had Scallop for starter and we had the Angus steak and the veal for main and my boss was really impressed.

Came to see Ruby Paige and the evening was awesome, food incredible and the service was amazing. Will be back again. Worth the travel from Warragul!

Do not dine here! Organized a function here with 45 ppl and 10 kids. Even went to the trouble of creating a preset menu so the food would come out reasonably fast. It was an absolute disaster. They promised a private function room, we were stuck at the back of the restaurant amongst others.

Food was bad, service was worse! I don't think they even put additional waiters on for my function. Ruined my function and apparently this was my fault. Waiter and senior staff should start respecting their customers and delivering what has been promised.

Went on a quiet night, had the Morton bay bugs, very nice and the risotto di mare, risotto perfectly cooked prawns nice but points off for no crab meat as stated.
Service from the girls was outstanding friendly and attentive. A bit pricey but would go back yes for sure.

Went in with no great expectations on a quiet night, but received a very pleasant surprise. The stuffed veal, stuffed calamari, pasta dishes tried by all four of us worked well. Excellent value for money, good service, enjoyable wine list. Don't know how they handle a busy night.

As a local, I finally decided to try this restaurant, what a mistake that was. The food was average, but what was worse was the terrible service we received from the arrogant waiter. He was pushy and unresponsive, when we called him to place our dessert order, he made us wait for 10 minutes before approaching the table. When we asked for the bill he didn't follow it up and I had to approach the staff at the register for the bill, which we then waited a further 5 minutes for.

Overall, a really bad experience. I don't recommend anyone dine here, your money could be better spent elsewhere!

Visited here on Mother's Day just gone (10/5/09) and my family and I experienced the worst service at a restaurant.

The restaurant was notified in advance that we had someone with us that was in a wheelchair and when we got there we were seated at the very far end of the restaurant. Chairs had to be moved and one lady even had to get up from her meal and move around so that we could get through. Once seated only half of our table were offered drinks, and it was the only time that drinks were offered until just prior to us leaving.

It took about half an hour for them to come and take our orders for the 3 course meal, and then it took a further hour before the entrees came to our table. It then took around 45 minutes for the mains to come out, in which the majority were very bland and ordinary.

Next came dessert, in which I ordered a lime mouse. I was half way through eating it and found a large piece of metal that would describe as some sort of steel wool. I quitely called over a waiter to notify them and I was offered a new dessert.
I received a new one, however, I was not contacted at all by the senior staff, in which I find disappointing, or offered any kind of discount on the bill.

My family and I left feeling very unsatisfied with the service as we were there for around 3 hours for a 3 course meal. We contacted the restaurant senior staff the next day and the response was rude and abrupt and completely not understanding.
We will not be eating here again, and we don't recommend anyone else eating here either!

For Mother's Day it wasn't overly busy, however, we did have to wait about 10 minutes until a seat became available. We ordered 2 drinks while waiting, however, those drinks were not delivered until we were seated (a good 8 minutes after ordering.) Our waiter, Pierre was friendly and knew his job well, but not well enough for a tip, even though the food was quick and reasonably tasty.

I would recommend this restaurant if you wanted somewhere nicer than a cafe before a movie, however, the food was no better than most of the cafe/bistros in the area who prices are much better.

After a poor first impression of this place in 2006 when the staff weren't interested in serving the customers and the food had been bland and cold, we decided that we may have judged it a little harshly and should try it again.

We went again recently on a Friday evening. We had a long wait between ordering and actually receiving our meal even though the restaurant was almost empty. I had osso bucco on a bed of rice. Hidden under between the meat and the rice was a large piece of steel wool. I was only offered a coffee in replacement of my main meal but not being a coffee drinker this was no use to me - I left feeling very hungry. We were not offered any discount off our drinks or my husband meal. I felt that they didn't care if customers never return again.

Recently we had been to Pescare and has changed a lot in terms of atmosphere, food quality and the girl who was serving us was very helpful and recommended my friend to choose butterfish which was chef's special and I ordered eye fillet . We just loved it and the steak was the best one I ever had. I recommend anyone to go and dine at Pescare.
