Nice location with an outlook overlooking the boats. For dinner, our group had a pizza (which was interesting and innovative) then the fish and chips, the duck and veal dishes, followed by an interesting crumble dessert. The meals were competently prepared, service friendly and helpful, but gave the impression of being a little inexperienced. Prices are not cheap, but are probably Ok having regard to the premium location.

My wife and I went on a Sat night. We had a good seat overlooking the water. We ordered Garlic bread which consisted of 6 quarters, very tasty not too much garlic. For mains my wife had the seafood platter a good selection of local seafood. I choose the barramundi which was nestled on a bed of potato which vegs on top, the fish was smooth to taste and vegs weren't overdone.

We finished off with dessert which was also tasty. Service was good without being overpowering. Didn't have to wait long between dishes. If you want a quiet dinner for 2 go somewhere else. All in all we had a good night and would recommend Pelicans Landing.

We were disgusted with our dining experience at Pelicans Landing and will never return. I took my family to this restaurant for my mothers birthday last week and couldn't believe how bad it was. The meals were overpriced for what you received, my boyfriends steak ($30) looked like the left over end piece and was tiny and badly cooked.

I ordered the fish special, which was cooked ok, however, the chef randomly added Fennel to the dish (which I hate, and I specifically ordered this fish dish as it didn't have fennel!). There was no ambience, the waiter had no idea what he was doing, and the kitchen staff were too busy lounging around out in the smoking area and laughing and talking amongst themselves, in front of restaurant guests! Or being so loud in the kitchen to the point that it was disrupting in the dining area.

I was looking forward to the cake I had brought for my mums birthday to be presented to the table, and had asked for it to be brought out. 20 minutes later, there was roaring laughter coming from the kitchen (to be heard by all the dining area). The Kitchen staff had returned from their lounging to find the inexperienced waiter had cut the cake up and put it on plates, before bringing it out for the candles to be blown out by my Mum!

The waiter and kitchen staff roughly put the cake back together, and the waiter sheepishly brought it out to my mum covered in finger prints and not looking very nice. I couldn't believe it. It may not have happened if the kitchen staff were doing their jobs instead of bludging in the smoko area. To top it off, no one but the waiter apologised, and I was disgusted with the behaviour of the kitchen staff.

We will never dine here again, and you can be sure we'll be telling or rather warning everyone we know how bad Pelicans Landing in Williamstown is. Don't waste your money going here.

Has Pelican's recently changed management? Gone is the little bread roll that you once enjoyed and dipped in oil/vinegar prior to the meal arriving. Gone is the attention once received by the waiter/waitress. We ordered lamb which previously was served as a rack, this time the lamb was served as steak pieces. Once we received our main meal and drinks we were left in the corner and forgotten. We were looking forward to having dessert and coffee but the staff never came to ask if we wanted anything else.

We tried to flag down the waiter but he/she kept walking past briskly looking the other way. Our appetite for dessert was soon forgotten about so we left. The wrong bill was given and one of the mains never arrived. Pelican's has a lot of potential and therefore needs to lift it's game as there are lots of other places ready to compete for business.

I went here last night for dinner (Sat) with my boyfriend and I have to say we are going back in a heart beat. The decor inside was really lovely and tables were set beautifully with candles. The service was fantastic and the timing of our meals were perfect also.

We ordered the entree calamari which was really nice, lightly floured served on top of a small salad, tartae sauce and lemon wedge - great starter! Also brought out was some lovely fresh dinner rolls with oil & balsamic complimentary. We had a bottle of sav. blanc The Crossings which was to die for and only $33!!

For our mains we both ordered the steak with chunky chips and beautiful gourmet salad - the plate was a big rectangular plate which made everything look so presentable and most of all it was so TASTY!!!!!! We couldn't fit in any dessert unfortunately. We will go back again because the fish n chips looked so good. Love this place and highly recommend.

Great place to visit for lunch on a sunny warm day after taking the ferry down the Yarra. Pleasant views, nice nautical surroundings and the food was pretty good also. Seafood medley was tasty although the rice was bland and could have done with some flavouring.
