My wife and I took some friends from Qld out for breakie last Saturday morning, to the Pavilion Cafe, it hadn't opened at 9.00am the so called chef arrived late, the staff weren't interested in service the food was less than good, burnt toast, burnt bacon, eggs not good in all spent over $100.00 for five people, Not impressed, very disappointed. I hope some management gets to read this and takes some notice because the location is great but the service terrible.

My family and I went to the Pavilion this week for lunch and we were really impressed! The food was just amazing and the service was top notch! Such a beautiful venue with breathtaking views. I will be recommending it to all of my friends!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding here over lunch with 25 guests. It is a gorgeous venue, set amongst the fairy trees and gorgeous old oaks of the Fitzroy gardens. The floor to ceiling windows make you feel like you're sitting right in amongst the garden. The food was lovely, though I was a bit disappointed in my vegetarian risotto. Our guests particularly enjoyed the eye fillet. Their cheesecake is amazing. Don't go passed it! Although we shared the venue with other guests, it was a great day. I think we did over stretch them a little, staff seemed to have difficulty managing requests from our group and the other guests of the cafe at times. The cafe was very accommodating of our needs and professional in their communication regarding all aspects of the lunch prior to the event. We thoroughly enjoyed our celebration here and would recommend it as a wedding venue to others.

We went to the gardens there with 2 children for lunch. The child's menu was a disgrace. The first meal which cost $15.00 was a small bowl of pasta with commercial tomato sauce tipped through and a bit of cheese microwaved on top, the second again costing $15 was a huge plate of chips with a piece of commercial deep fried chicken schnitzel on top. Our meal after being told that they no longer served the item we chose from the menu was Chicken Caesar salad. This had limp lettuce and was running with Kraft mayonnaise. Once this was quite a good restaurant but not now. Only thing you could say was the service was good and the view is excellent.

What a gorgeous venue. I had never been there before but the food and setting was absolutely beautiful. We had a family lunch just before going to watch the football it was ideal and the kids loved it. The venue is very kind friendly and accommodates for everyone. I had the Atlantic Salmon it was so fresh and just cooked perfectly.

My husband had the Potato Gnocchi it was so tasty and such a generous serve I even tried to cook it for him at home because he loved it so much. The staff were friendly and recommended a great dessert orange and pistachio brulee it was yum. The coffee just topped everything off. I would highly recommend The Pavilion.

Our office Xmas party was held at the Pavilion this year. It is a great location in the middle of the Fitzroy Gardens but the food and service were really ordinary. The vegetarian risotto was just awful. A big blob of muck, more like porridge than rice. The waiter did offer to have the dish made again when I complained. I declined as I didn't have any confidence in a kitchen staff who had allowed a meal like that to be served up in the first place.

My husband and I attended the Pavillion for lunch and were extremely disappointed. We ordered a beef burger (for him) and lasagne for myself. Forty minutes later the food arrived, the lasagne was sent back as it was cold. My husband had finished his meal, we had finished our drinks and 30 minutes later still no re-heated lasagne. We were told "very sorry, it's coming, the kitchen is very small". We left before it arrived and won't ever go back. They shouldn't try and cater to such a large number of customers if the kitchen can't cope.
