I visited this restaurant once last month, and I liked it. I ordered three main food and one dessert all of them are good and recently I just visited a new thai restaurant in Melbourne, Bangkok Brasserie. This place are good as well specially Pad thai which is always my favorite. I loved Thai food not that I am Asian, I found it good for my health. Love Thai food very much. For a perfect Thai cuisine experience, Patee Thai is the restaurant to be. But you don't need to look up the restaurant information to have a feel if you'll like it there because you surely will. Show up at their doorstep and you're brought into a whole new world outside Prahran – an exciting feel of a Thai palace. Feeling like a Thai queen yet? Wait until you have a dash of what they are going to serve you.

Prawn Crackers with Satay Sauce is a good one to start. Red Curry Seafood is a sure fire to gratify a hungry stomach. And to complete a seafood treat, Pad Prik Khing Pla is a must. Their servings are large enough so a big family like mine is not hard to please.

The complete royal experience is also not without the caring and accommodating attendants there. A nice place without nice people is not a click at all. Theirs is a perfect match. So a big toast to Patee Thai for a continued great service.

When you’ve been in traditional and repeating Italian dishes and you’re just dying to try something different, Patee Thai is the right switch. Why try Thai cuisine this time? I’ve been in their Prahran restaurant, which really transports you to that Thai atmosphere. Well Gang Pet Ped Yang may sound like a big question mark over your forehead but when I tell you it’s Roasted Duck in sumptuous red curry paste, and coconut milk tossed with pineapple, tomatoes, and bamboo shoots, it does sound really tempting, right?

I scanned over the restaurant menu and the prices are reasonable enough especially when you start on your own ordered food. There’s a selection of soups, noodles and of course main dishes ranging from mild, medium to hot main courses. Too busy to go out your way and find the restaurant? Went to this place with a mate just moved to Prahran and I was down to visit. Upon reading reviews on here and boths of us like Thai we were keen to try.
Overall just a bit average. Had the duck leg and mix seafood with garlic, basil etc etc. Both dish were ok but nothing to get excited over. Maybe overly sweet. While we were there another table complain about the blandness of their food. I don't think it was that bad but surely Melbourne has better Thai than this! (if you are in Sydney try "Spice I am" near central, that is what I want.

I have been here several times. The restaurant has area upstairs to sit on the floor for dinner, or there are tables downstairs. If you are not used to sitting on the floor for dinner definitely choose the tables, otherwise you may have leg cramps while you are on your main meal. The food here is always brilliant. Affordable, traditional Thai. Excellent service. It can get a little loud on Friday's and Saturday's as it is always packed.

The food was delicious! The only thing that let this restaurant down was two VERY loud groups competing for most annoying customers, sometime earsplittingly loud I wish they would have been told to quieten down as it made the evening a less than enjoyable experience.

Very reasonably priced, and polite staff. Would go again, hopefully when the other groups are NOT there!
