I love the good french food here but the service is a bit hit and miss so a good night is well worth it, a bad night it's poor value for the money. I like it but not as much as PM24. We returned to melbourne again and eat at PM 24 and paris Go and this time the terrine won it for Paris Go.

Real yummy oysters, snails were average. My main (Confit leg) was very delicious, and beef bourguignon was tasty but nothing special. Very friendly staff but it was super hard to get their attention, the waiter also served my campari holding the rims of the glass (not hygienic!). The price is Ok for French food. I'd like to go back, though, for the food.

After reading some reviews, I was hesitant. After finding out for myself..I will definitely go back. The food was delicious; the staff were fun and friendly. Some of the yummiest pate i have had and the Duck Confit was memorable. Worth its money.

Nice French food and very friendly staff. The prices are not too bad for this kind of restaurant, not cheap but it's worth a try.

Paris "don't go" - this restaurant has set new low standard for service, no water or drinks offered for 15 minutes after arrival, no specials provided and entree arrived 70 minutes after arrival, main didn't arrive till just before 10 pm, this for a 7.30 booking and all the time the waiting staff acted though our table was invisible.

The food here is very pedestrian. Not worth the higher prices charged. At a pub and up to $20, I would rate higher. There is a definite air of microwave re-heating of meals. The Boeuf Bourguignon with mashed potato was served barely warm! At $27, this is poor. They also do not honour your booking requests. Our booking for a requested table (confirmed!) was overturned because some "regulars" wanted the table. This is Bad service. We will never eat here again.

On our latest trip to Melbourne, wanting to go somewhere other than the "big name" (and often big price tag) places (excellent though many of them are) and after careful research I fixed upon Paris Go. It was sensational.

My only complaint is that there was not one thing on the menu and specials board that I would not have gladly eaten. Finally settling on an entree (quenelles, light and delicious) a steak (tender and succulent and with a perfect bordelaise) plus the forkfuls of my companions' meals I was able to cadge (they were, justifiably, reluctant to part with much) topped off by a good coffee, an Armagnac and a Gauloise in the pleasant smoking area (they seem much less rabid about smoking in Melbourne) and I felt that I was either in heaven or Paris (they may well be the same).

The service was attentive, intelligent and friendly, a very good, mostly French, wine list, and, as I wanted to drink the wines of Victoria, modest corkage. And all at a very reasonable price. C'est tres bonzer.

As an avid fan of French food, since moving to Australia, I was happy to find what I missed in Europe. Decent food with the right price. The owner was kind to us, and we had a good chat with him. This is a restaurant I would come back to.

Booked late but still got the window seat on a summer evening. The service was spot on if somewhat stilted. We found the assitte froide to be adaquate and the escargout to be lacking. A handful of crispy snails thrown over a portobella mushroom cap. I can understand a portobella for flavor but a large button mushroom would have held the snails in and the plate would'nt have looked so messy. We had the cassoulet for mains and I found it to be rich in flavor and depth and a decent dish for the money. A nice homey place for a provencial meal.
