This is a most relaxing pub, meals are served indoors, outdoors (2 areas). We had tempura prawns (shared as an entree between two) followed by Fettuccini with fillet steak and fetta cheese...very filling.
Local wine was reasonable at $25 but I thought the cider was overpriced at $8.50. Couldn't fault the pleasant service, yes we will return and sit by the open fire in winter.

Have had a number of meals here over the past few years and have always found the quality of the food very consistent and a wide range to choose from, reasonably priced too. The wine is mostly from local wineries with a very good selection of beers.
Service is good, love winter time with the open fires. Very busy for Sunday lunch, we prefer midweek or Saturday lunch.

A great pub for a meal. Live music sometimes too. I highly recommend sitting outside on the deck, great views. Food is better than average, the side salad had an amazing dressing.

Better than average Pub Food with the most interesting dishes listed on the Specials Board. Service was attentive (they even know how to smile!) without being over the top. It's a pity that ratings for food and drink are bundled together as I would have scored higher for the food (9) but they let themselves down with pretty ordinary Carlton Draught on tap which tasted a bit sour.
Maybe I should have gone for one of the specialty beers on tap but I think CD is still the best draught beer to judge a Pub by. I did finish off with a locally brewed (out of date!) Stella Artois. The wine list has a few local brands but mainly dominated by big company "Commercial" labels. We tried an excellent Redbox (a local - from Kangaroo Ground) Chardonnay.

Worth of travel for lucheon on the weekend. Don't like how you can see into kitchen from nearly every table. Service is prompt and friendly, food typical pub food. The specials sound more interesting than meals from main menu. On the weekends there is live music which (depending who is playing) can be too loud. Big outdoor area with playground for easily bored kids.
