I have been to Nuts Chan a number of times with my partner over the past half year. We mainly dine here during lunch hours, and I must say their udon noodles are spectacular and better than you'll find at many other more expensive japanese restaurants. Their sashimi is also very fresh. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Very mediocre food, I had sashimi which is good for the price, however, the oyaku don is really disappointing while the ramen is clearly instant noodles for the shops.

In a nutshell: "super-fresh sushi and great flavoursome udon."

Although quite taken aback by its name at first, I visited this restaurant on a recommendation by a friend who lives and breathes Japan! I was not disappointed!
The restaurant mainly does takeaway and seats 20 guests in its small dimly-lit dining area. The humble place churns out freshly made sushi and the udon noodle soups are simple but full of flavour.

It was so good, that I decided to go the following night with a few friends. Be warned that its closing time is 9 pm, my first visit was rather rushed as I turned up at 8:30! A quaint little place, it's another hidden treasure in Melbourne's east.
