Loved Noir. Food was outstanding, service staff were lovely. I almost want to rate it badly so it doesn't get too popular!

Sitting less than 30, its sultry black furnishings and dimly-lit basket ceiling pendants confer a quintessentially Melbourne flair, simultaneously contemporary and reserved, and just-so-sexy in noir.

Well-suited for any number of ocassions, Noir brings a distinctively sexy classy culinary appeal to its inner-city suburban surroundings. With its well-crafted a la carte and degustation menus of unmatched generosity and affordability (brunch under $15, $70pp degustation, $17.50 entrees, $35 mains, and $15 always exquisite desserts), it presents an appealing proposition for a refined, almost all-day dining experience. Overall, Noir surpasses many of its CBD counterparts by reference to that trifecta of great food, great service, and great ambience. Moreover, it also possesses those even more elusive X-factors of value and timelessness. It’s for all these reasons that MoMo & Coco have returned at all times around the clock the sample the different menus.

This is probably the best restaurant I have been to in Melbourne. The tasting plate is insanely underpriced at $70 - you'd be happy to pay more than a $100 for it. The quality of the food is amazing and the service is fantastic. But shhhh, don't tell anyone!

Blimey - I just had to give this place all 10's! Went with a group of 4 of us and we decided on their tasting plate option as the price was right at $70 a head plus the place is BYO so we were all set. Well, what a brilliant choice it turned out to be. Rather than labour through all 10 Courses suffice to say each one was beautifully prepared, delicately presented and graciously delivered.

The menu is built without pretension yet exciting enough to stretch the palate, duck, scallops, beetroot gnocchi, deconstructed waldorf salad, suckling pig, it had all, finishing with a Persimmon pie with vanilla bean ice-cream. Oh heaven's it was good! The staff were wonderful, we ended up talking to one of the owners who works the floor, whilst her partner the chef, works the kitchen. And they work it so well! Get in now whilst you can, this place is going to go off!
