The Age Good Food Guide 2011 - One Chef's Hat
No35 serves modern cuisine using only the best and freshest local produce. The dishes are thoughtfully paired with wines personally selected by the No35 Sommelier. Their one-page menu works this way: No1s are starters, No2s are mains and additional Nos are side dishes. For a fine dining place, the meal portions at No35 are decent—really good value for your money. On top of the delicious offerings, the wait staff renders top-notch service. Beyond the food, you get a stunning view of Melbourne from the 35th floor! Private dining for groups are also accommodated in No35’s Bay View Room.

The food, the wine the views are all Fantastic. Have been here 4 or 5 times now over the past 12 months as the views are stunning, and very romantic.

What a disappointment. The food was great but let down by the service. I mean, who sets up for the buffet breakfast while you are half way through your main, needless to say the jaw was dropping on the faces of most people in the room who were there for the first time because after that experience I couldn't imagine anyone going back.

My 3rd visit to No 35. First memorable, second very average (mostly due to bad service and load music) and third absolutely aweful. This was due to a combination of average food and possibly the worst service I've experienced in Melbourne. Patronising, arrogant and incompetent. Waited about 2 hours between entree and main. Got the orders completely wrong. No explanation, and some raised eyebrows when we asked for bread. The only good thing about this restaurant is the prospect that they might close down and allow someone with real vision and service experience to make the most of the phenomenal views.

Unbeatable views. For a hotel restaurant this place is pretty exceptional. Not sure why it does not get more publicity. The food was excellent. I had the slow cooked beef brisket. It was delicious, rich and unctuous. My partner had the fish special, also a very good dish.
Wine list is good, service great and it has that spaciousness that only hotel restaurants provide. Not expensive with a few lunchtime specials to choose from.
We went for lunch, I'd love to go back for dinner and get the view at night. I think this would be a very romantic restaurant at night.

Excellent views (from the 35th floor!), excellent creative food and excellent, attentive service! The presentation of meals is beautiful and the taste even more so. Highly recommend the Suzuki mulloway! Unfortunately, I was not particularly impressed by the cocktails I ordered. But no matter, this is a fine dining establishment not a cocktail bar. Would love to come back and try the degustation menu one day!

Beautiful food in a beautiful location. Attentive service. Well chosen, interesting winelist, but not a ridiculously weighty tome which is out-of-date. Menus a little tatty, and probably need to be freshened up.
Every dish presented a different combination of textures and flavours, and while all were enjoyable, special mention must be made of the "carrot cake", served with curry icecream atop chilli powder. A revelation. Book early to request a table looking out over the bay. Cooking of the highest echelon.
