Internet menu did not reflect current prices. We booked a lunch table for 12 and pre-ordered. We were told on arrival that there may be price variation. Wow! My chicken Parma jumped from $18.50 to $26.50 Sorry, this is not acceptable.

We've eaten at the Mount Erica a few times over the journey, so this is a cumulative review for all of our experiences there.

On the whole the food is very good, delivered promptly, with a seasonally changing menu. From the light and summery salads and salt n pepper squid to the hearty winter stews and hot pots, various risotto's and always excellent steaks. Good hearty pub food in a relaxed but still upmarket environment.

Spent an early summers evening in the beer garden with my sisters and friends a couple of years ago. The soft lighting and incorporation of the trees into the seating make it a great place for a few quiet beers or chardys once the heat is out of the day.

If you are in the area and looking for a place to eat on short notice, I'd definitely give it a look in, they've yet to disappoint me.

Simply put a really terrible experience. Not even mediocre food and disorganized staff. We were part of a large group, gave them plenty of noticed, pre-ordered everything and one of our staff was in regular contact to insure we could have a quick turn over.

However meal, after meal, after meal came out that wasn't ordered. They even start to accuse us of mistaking our orders. Lucky one of our staff had a printed list indicating they were in the wrong.

One of the waiting staff pretty much whispered the various meals when they come out. Even when the group went silent we couldn't hear what he was saying. That's just poor, shows a lack of training and common sense. Most people's meals were barely average. I had an overcooked steak, tough, stringy and not really much flavour.

It was a good serving size, with a decent salad, and array of ingredients, so positive feedback in that respect. But let down by an over cooked steak. All up if you're a big group they are pretty poor. Its not the first time this has happened and its now going to be the last for us.

Average at best, one meal didn't arrive and as described on the menu and the pizza, at $26 tasted like a McCain frozen pizza. When this was mentioned to the staff member, he wasn't too fussed and didn't seem to care. For pub meals, they are way overpriced. Don't think we will bother going back.

I live nearby and visited this pub often, I thought it was great, until I ordered a meal that I have enjoyed there before. When my meal came out, despite costing $30 it was barely half a chicken breast on some couscous. I was so disappointed but when I complained to the wait staff they went and got the senior staff who told me that I had made the waitress cry (even though we could see her taking orders at the next table) and asked me to leave. The bouncers then followed me outside and kept pushing me and trying to get me to fight them in the carpark. Great night out!

Parma was overcooked and a bit dry, poached chicken was perfectly cooked but lacked in flavour. Great service.

Absolutely one of the best pubs I have ever ventured into. The warmth of the staff was great as was the delicious food. I felt transported back to my grandmothers home cooking with the Beef Bourguignon Hot Pot. I will be returning most definitely!

I went to the Mt Erica with friends for my birthday and had the best time it made my day. Food and service were excellent. Our waitress stood out from other places I have visited and yes a smile does go a long way. I will be back.

My husband and I were looking for a cheap pub meal. We certainly didn't find something cheap, but the food was excellent. We both had the 'pie special' with a glass of wine and both pies were delicious. The service was also really good. We will definitely go back.
