I have been to Montezuma's a few times and I took a friend there back from high school a few weeks back. She loved the chicken enchiladas &andthe margaritas. The service was great as well. I would definitely recommend it!!
This would have to be the most appalling meal I can remember over many years. For a ‘restaurant’ charging the prices this establishment does, they should be ashamed! Myself and a friend dined here last week.
We ordered nachos to share (3/10) and for mains enchiladas for him and 2 tacos for me. The enchiladas were barely touched before my mate said he could eat no more, I tasted 1 spoonful and spat it out! The first taco was mediocre (4.5/10) and the second had cold chicken and No flavour (1/10). Generally speaking the first taco and the nachos were eaten and the rest basically untouched.
We immediately went to exit and the cashier put up quite an argument for us to pay the full (over-priced) bill which we refused. We conceded to pay only for a drink, nachos and 1 taco, well over $20 wasted dollars! My friend asked for the staff who was not in so we left a name, time and contact number for he/she to call us. Of course that never happened!!!
We quickly went to another establishment to get the dreadful taste from our mouths … thank God for the reputable establishments on Bridge Road who ably assisted. Montezuma’s Bridge Road …No no no!
Wasn't very busy but they still managed to take up to 40 minutes to bring out simple dishes. Hardly ever saw a waiter and the food was only average at best. The good part though was not having to pay too much for it.
The food here is fantastic, the best Mexican I have had. The service was good, not great, not bad, a little slow if anything. The Music was too loud and overbearing and far too Mexican if that makes sense.
All in all it was a good experience, I will be back there, great for the family. I think that a large group with plenty of time could have a lot of fun here.
Restaurant is a bit worn out and the decor tries to be Mexican, but somehow looks like fake "Neighbours" cafe. Service is curtious and friendly, although when visited only one waitress and a person from kitchen helping her time to time. However, if looking for a quickish and cheap Mexican meal, the food is tasty and good.
