Ate here last night with my partner. We had chicken spring rolls to start, which were absolutely yummy. Then we had coconut rice with mongolian beef and satay chicken as a main. The coconut rice was excellent, they dribbled coconut milk on it, and it was so creamy, almost like a dessert. The food came out very fast, and the staff were very friendly and quick. Good value and good food. We will be back here for sure!
Had lunch here today and we will definitely go back. We've been before and it is always very good. Today we had five entrees. We tried some new things but my friend always likes the beef salad with lime and the chicken spring rolls are our favourite of the four varieties. The Yom Kha with tofu (lao style) was especially spicy and good.
I'm assuming it was Sandy who was sharing information about Laos. We will revisit for further information. Before our visit to her home country later in the year and some more good food. The table next to us has a beef and noodle stew with bread rolls (not on the menu) that they said was outstanding but I don't like beef so we didn't have it.
A group of friends went on Friday night after rave reviews from a local. The food is very good and very reasonable. Don't go there if you want a quiet night though, we couldn't hear each other and were basically involved in everyones conversations due to the proximity of the tables.
I have been going to Minh Minhs for six years, sandy and her team are so valuable and the food is absolutely to die for. I have eaten at very many Thai restaurants and none offer the service, not the quality of food along with such an amazing affordability. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and say hi to sandy.
In comparison to all the other restaurants I've tried on Victoria street, I found this had by far a better food/ambience combination. All the dishes I tried were really good, I especially liked the chicken lettuce bun and beef in wine leaves, yum! Good price at the end too! It's made my favourites list.
I've had good and bad food here, just my luck I suppose. Going on a weeknight might have been the problem. I wouldn't get the whole fish again, that's for sure. But may go back one day for the pandan chicken and the hit or miss salt pepper squid. Low points for ambience as the ground floor dining area is packed a little too tight with tables.
I love this place! And my partner lives 1 street back from Victoria St, so we've tried a lot of the restaurants along there! We've never had any problems with the service and we've been there a few times. Vegetarian options galore and very tasty. I recommend the 'Yum Tofu' (a spicy tofu salad) portions are huge and value excellent. Great decor at plastic table prices.
There seem to be some pretty good reviews so either it's just me or perhaps I went there on a bad day. I'd walked past this restaurant quite a few times and thought it looked nice so decided to give it a try on a Sunday with my partner. The atmosphere in there is nice, good earthy colors. The service is average for Victoria Street. The food however was awful! The fried rice was so salty I literally couldn't finish it, my body was rejecting it half way through. I kept thinking that the next dish that came out maybe the redeeming one but each was as bad as the one before. I really wanted this place to be good but with so many to choose from on Victoria street, I just can't come back here again.
This is my favourite Asian restaurant on Victoria Street. Really great value - we had dinner for 4 people last week and it cost $60 in total. And it's also BYO!
The service is friendly and efficient. We had a couple of problems the last time we were there, ended up with red curry chicken instead of red curry duck that was ordered and one of the dishes came out so late that we had already finished. Paid the bill and were about to leave, but this was the only time in several visits that there were any problems at all.
Perfect every time - one of the best on Victoria Street for vegetarians and incredible value for money, even in comparison to the other restaurants around it.
