My family and I have been to this restaurant twice now, mostly because of the location. Parking has been an issue for us all, taking up to 30 minutes to find a park.

The food is not as flavourful as I would have liked, and the last time we were there the huge chunks of pepper throughout our pasta's and risotto's were awful. Other than that I did enjoy the food.

The first time we were there the waiters would come to us every 2 minutes it seemed to ask how we were going, it felt quite excessive when we were trying to talk and have a nice meal.

Overall, yes we will still go there because the location is convenient.

Food is average. Ambience, location, decor are all right. Parking can be difficult. Overall I think it's a bit expensive.

After finally deciding on this venue, we celebrated our son's 21st birthday with a family and friends occasion 2 weeks ago. After several telephone calls structuring the set menu and discussing our needs we were looking forward to enjoying a lovely celebration. We were also guaranteed the function room upstairs.

I must say communication is paramount to a successful booking. We weren't disappointed-upon arrival were greeted by friendly staff and shown to the room. We supplied our own wines and within minutes a selection of both red and white wines in ice buckets were placed on the tables. We were served by a manager and one staff member for the entire evening and nothing was of any trouble. They continually enquired if our needs were being met-something you don't always receive, thats for sure!

We were impressed with the large variety of main courses provided on the (set) menu, with a good quality of food served. My eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection! I wish to congratulate both Paul and Warren who both ensured the evening was enjoyed by all. Well done guys. So one very happy customer.

Had my engagement party in the upstairs section of the restaurant on a saturday night after being to their sister restaurant and was thrilled with all aspects. Was lucky enough to have the area exclusive to my party of 60. After many discussions on what we wanted including set menu and payment structure there were some striking differences encountered.

The set menu which had been decided had additional dishes added to it (seafood) which was a cause for concern as the pricing on the menu could have easily changed from what we advised our guests. Not only this, as a relatively young party (most guests were in early 20's) most ordered the classic chicken parma.

Whilst the meal itself was quite enjoyable, they ran out of this dish, knowing that it was part of a 4 dish set menu and with a bigger restaurant floor below us. Whilst the quality of the food was enjoyable for the group we had, the service of the food was hopeless. There was about a 30 minutes gap from when the first meal was served until the last which was completely unacceptable.

Not only this but the staff had to re-check what the orders were after my guests complained as in most instances there were 1 or 2 people per table (of 10) who had no meal, and they happened to be the younger of the party. Ambience was great but that because of the decorations we did ourself thus the high rating for that, many balloons.

The main issue that we had with the night is that they didn't follow one of our express instructions, that each guest was to pay for their own meal and drinks (as printed on the invitations). When it came to the end of the night, they had thrown out the original order slips and had to dig them out of the garbage, and we had to hold our guests 'hostage' while it was sorted out.

To make matters worse the boss (whom we had told several times of this arrangement) stepped away and let a staff member who was new and working in a different section of the restaurant deal with it when unfamiliar with us. Despite the pressure she was under she did a wonderful job, but for a relaxing meal with friends on a night that is supposed to be remembered for all the good reasons, the stress and work involved for myself, my fiance and our guests was completely unacceptable.

Had their "special risotto". It was pretty bad, the huge chunks of salami sausages overpowered taste of overall meal. Ordered a Tokay and they brought me a muscat instead, still had to pay for it.

Being out of town, and staying across the road. I was forced to eat at Michelangelo. On two occasions my order was screwed up, after explaining exactly what I wanted. It seems like these guys really don’t care about customer service and is more concern with the numbers through the door. Which concerns me, due to majorly screwing up my order twice in one week.

How many times do they screw up orders a night and expect to get paid for that. People don’t have time to sit around for another 20 minutes for the correct order to arrive. They make you feel unwelcome, and I would “sure as sh!t” not recommend this hole in the ground to anyone I know, or anyone who will be visiting Melbourne.

We have had a lot of pasta from here and it is quite good, and value for money, however, the service both in house and delivery is poor. I have not had a 'main' meal there but have also had the pizza. Personally I would stick with the pizza hut/domino chains over this, (and it was served cold). This place has the potential to be very good, maybe we have been unlucky. Stick with picking up pasta!

We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated at 8pm with the restaurant half empty! Food was ok, but service was terrible! Asked for water twice and it never came and was impossible to get any service.
