I have been trying to find Mexican in Melbourne for a while now and it has been a long road but I have finally found it. The food is great and the service is good too. Really good value for money and a nice place to take friends. This will be a new regular!

We had a group booking and had to pin down a waiter for drinks - after a lengthy wait we had to do the same for meals. Once they arrived meals were very ordinary (1 out of the 13 enjoyed the meal). Who gets nacho's wrong at a Mexican Rest? We gave polite feedback at the end of our meal to be told... "well that's your opinion". Will not be back.

These are the most magnificent, spectacular, mouth-wateringly good Mexican food I have ever eaten. Ever. And I've eaten quite a bit of Mexican food. For the mere sum of $25, you get three pieces of heaven - soft corn tortillas filled with grilled chorizo and beef strips, topped with onion and coriander, with a side of guacamole (which I'd happily eat from a bucket with a spoon, coz it is that good!) and home made hot sauce.

First up, mi corazon is a restaurant/bar, so read my drinks rating as a food rating. We went there for dinner last Saturday night. Straight up on walking in the place definitely has a good atmosphere.

We skipped entrees and went for a main each. I had the beef and chorizo tacos while my wife got the chicken in the mole sauce (forget the exact name, kind of chocolate-and-nut-based sauce). We shared and both meals were outstanding. Not standard dodgy mexican fare, this food is tasty and subtle and full of interesting flavours.

From 7.30 they had a live band playing South American Latin music which added great atmosphere. We ended up staying and drinking so we could hear both sets from the band.

Service was friendly and really the prices are not bad for the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend Mi Corazon.

I love tequila and I've never seen anywhere in Melbourne that has close to as many as Mi Corazon has. Service was good and the cocktails were even better!
