The baccala, peperoncino and parsley croquettes are wonderful, full of flavour and crunchy through to a creamy centre and the arancini filled with spinach, provolone cheese + chilli are quickly finished off with a lovely glass of bubbles from 48 degrees South from Tassie.

I took out a business dinner group of 8 and was over 45 mins late for booking. Was no problem and quickly seated. Great wait staff who were able to cater to people who had very specific needs - adapted menu for them. Great knowledge of menu and descriptions. Good sized portions and overall concensus was very happy. Great deal off online booking system with 20% off all food, was icing on cake.

Mixed reports take a back seat since this new owner has taken over. Food a knock out, service was something I thought lost over the last few years in Melbourne and the atmosphere was jumping.

Food, Thank god someone has put a menu together that follows no trends! The menu was a viewing delight and treat to the taste buds! We had the Sicilian share menu. Value value value.

Service, One thing you rarely find these days are staff willing to go out of their way to make your night enjoyable! My hat goes off to them all. Great job.

We went there for Valentine's Day and had a lovely meal. We ordered the banquet which was $95 per person. It was quite pricey but we did have a lot of courses and the food was delicious. The service was excellent - the waiters very very professional and extremely attentive. They had been great all night, so I decided to do a little test. My water was getting a little low, so I drank the rest of my glass to see how long it would take them to fill it up. Immediately as I put the glass down, the waiter was over to fill it up. So they have to get a 10 for their impeccable service!

We're in Melbourne for weekend getaway and booked two table for our group. We bought scoopon $40 which worth $100 value.

The food is awesome, apart from the seafood risotto I ordered, everything was perfect. Maybe it's just a personal taste, I don't like the pasta risotto which I think does not absorb the flavour as much as rice. Service is fantastic, the staff (the girls) always smile, warm, keep getting back to check if we are ok.

Without scoopon I guess it's a little bit too expensive for the value of food. Apart from that, everything was good and would recommend this restaurant.

The old Oyster, one of my Melbourne Fav's. The staff are great, the food even better and their steaks are fantastic. They have a lunch special thats great value and it's in the right end of town. Always consistently fantastic. Returned and found a change of name has also ushered in a change of quality, great service ordinary steak, and quiet, get back in the game.
