Lovely location, pity about the food and an opportunity wasted. I am a local and have been to the Mentone numerous times, hoping that they were just having a bad night. I won't be back unless management changes. The Barrumundi was presented as 3 thin overcooked fillets (which looked like flathead tails), served over chips which were like the last bits and pieces of french fries left in the servery. The pizza was very average, given that they have a woodfired oven the flavours were very disappointing. I think it's time for a new kitchen staff to make this place really work.

We have been twice now and can't complain the food was all fine but nothing fantastic. Price is what shoots the "Edgy" in the foot. It could be much busier if they looked at what other hotels offer on the menu compared to price. Go here if you want something that everyone will eat.

Had the misfortune to dine here. Twice cooked duck, instead of being tender it was dry and rock hard. The waitress's response was to offer a steak knife. Hope the kitchen staff doesn't give up his day job as a bricklayer.

Walked out another night because of the frightful noise early before the nightclub began. Very expensive for poor food and service. If others gave this place a good rating they must have not tried anything other than KFC or Macdonalds. Leave it to desperate locals.

Food was great. We went on parma night, got good size portions, chips were great too. Friendly service also.

What an amazing find!!! Very unasuming location with many hidden delights, the beautiful woodfire oven for pizzas, and a grand selection of the new breed of "giant cakes" which looked fabulous. I am thrilled that I ordered the seafood linguine, I have never had better, fresher, and tastier pasta.

My dad had some kangaroo which was presented with flair, the pizzas were fantastic, if I was very picky (which I am) I would say the onions on the goats pizza are very sweet! And the curry that my mum ordered was very subtle and lacked UMPH that I love in Thai food. Nonetheless, the cheery and efficient waitstaff and ambient surrounds make it a fantastic, and warm evening. Thanks guys!

Nice spacious pub with a good atmosphere and a decent restaurant. I've dined here for lunch several times. One time my veggie cannelloni was a fraction undercooked, but other than that, it's been really good every single time.

Went on the tuesday night for their famous international parma tuesday...Great about 12 different Parmas from Mexican to Indian. We went back on the saturday and the place was buzzing, a real party atmosphere in the upstair's bar which is called the Edgy, the cover band MOJO was fantastic. I recommend to all, especially if you can't be bothered with a cab ride into the city.
