    I wanted to eat out on famous Lygon street without being hassled by sprukers. A friend of mine told me that there was a restaurant in the Downtowner hotel that is open to the public so thought I'd give it a go.

    The food was delicious and a lot nicer than many of the restaurants I have been to on Lygon st. I recommend the fresh crab meat entree. As the name would suggest, Mellows has a very quiet, and intimate feel which gives the waiters the opportunity to give their full attention to each diner and it also means that you can enjoy your meal without noisy interuptions. Another bonus is that this restaurant is a new member to the entertainment book, so for those of you who hold a card don't forget to use it. With free on-site parking, great food and service this was definitely a stand out dining experience for me.
