Our night at Movida Aqui was great. The food had plenty of character and was fresh (as always). Service was also top-notch, there was always a waiter visible and were also very attentive to our queries.
Since this was my second visit to Movida, I decided to try one of our favourite dishes (the Bomba) and was left slightly disappointed. In comparison to the Bomba we got in the past, this one was much larger and didn't give a wholesome 'bomb' of flavour that we got when we first tried it. In saying all this, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the sea urchin dish special (the 'Erizo'). The bill totalled to around $50 per head but we were more than satisfied with our dine here. Highly recommended!

I was slightly disappointed with this restaurant and was expecting something a little more for a restaurant situated on Lygon Street. The menu itself seemed a little 'borish' and gave off vibes of a general lacking of true 'Italian' food. The food was 'ok' at best, I thought the gnocchi could have done better with more sauce and salt. In saying all this, the portions of each dish were quite generous (especially the pastas).

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was absolutely fresh and full of flavour (while a common dish, I absolutely loved their beef nasi nemak). Service was quick (same goes for the time taken to get the food on the table) and to top it all off, it only costed around $50 for the two of us (my partner and I) to eat until we could not eat anymore. Highly recommended place if you're eager to try some awesome Malaysian food.

Dined recently with friends from the Gold Coast. Outstanding food with an entree of scallops on a leek puree and steak to follow. Service was right on the mark and the selection of food and wine was terrific. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place. Our friends were equally impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Mind you coming from the Gold Coast they are probably easily pleased! Overall a great night out made even better by the great food and ambience.

Went there last night with table of 16 last minute booking manager was really polite and very accommodating being cold and miserable winter night. He gave us a nice table by the fire place and was really attentive all night. Staff were polite, quick, food was great, highly recommend to anyone. The manager gave me his number said anytime sir that's what we are hereto give people an experience. Just shows people still love hospitality and are passionate about it still. Bravo

Just amazing and hearty food. Love it all and have tried it all. Warwick Thai seems to me to be the best Thai in town. My favourite, Prawn Yum Ruom.

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant in South Melbourne Market. It is a very small room but has lots of seating outside. I have rated this place very highly. The food is really good but is even better when you consider the low prices (if you know what I mean). Tapas sharing is the go here and we found everything to be really flavorsome and the servings were a good size.

We dined at Kojo Brown on 25 May 2012. We had a fantastic dining experience. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and presented, and it tasted fantastic. The choices were quite varied.
The service was extremely efficient but not intrusive. The staff (young Japanese lady and the Chef) were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We will certainly be returning to Kojos on our next visit to Melbourne and would recommend that you dine there.

We were with a party of eight last night, seating was at 7pm we started with tapas by 7.30pm we were ready to order our main meals three of the main coursers had apparently ran out and were no longer available for dinner, so we all quickly had to change our orders. One of our guests ordered seafood pasta which not only smelt wrong it only took one small bite size taste of the mussel to be horrified and shock that any restaurant would serve up a dish that was meant for the rubbish bin not on our plate.
As the kitchen was right behind us and we could see in the kitchen staff have a sniff of meal that was returned and he did just that put it straight in the bin, as far as the other the main meals go they were all very, very disappointing. Not recommended at all.

A lovely lunch with friends was quickly and effectively ruined by the rudeness of one of the wait staff over splitting the bill at the end of the meal when it was explained clearly and agreed to by the wait staff that this would be ok when first coming into the restaurant.
Despite some lovely food, rude service is such a turn off that I will never go back to Shoya again, nor recommend it to anyone for whom courteous service is as important as good food.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had in a very longtime, we arrived on time and were seated accordingly, I checked the menu and wine lists on line prior to booking and found they listed a 2000 Dom Perignon Vintage Champagne Epernay France, when the waitress handed me the drink menu I checked for this champagne and couldn't find it, so I asked the waitress whether they had this champagne in stock and she replied I'll check with the manager.
She returned to say that this was never listed on the web site wine list menu, this was the beginning of the comedy that followed, so at that stage I thought we were in for a night of hit and miss, we then went to the food menu and decided on a few different dishes, one in particular was the, In-house smoked salmon with horseradish parfait and potato bread, the salmon was dry and tasteless but the big surprise was the so called horse radish.
My partner took a small dollop of the white creamy type substance supposedly being horse radish and it was tasteless, so we asked the waitress if she could tell us what the substance was and she openly said it was sour cream, we also ordered the oysters kilpatrick, I was seriously struggling to find the oyster underneath the four of five sprinkles of bacon drowned in the Worcestershire sauce, the so called sumptuous seafood dinner was going from bad to worst and it didn't stop there we also ordered the Blackened silver dory with apple slaw, sauce roumalade and soy.
Well the biggest surprise of the evening was this dish! the roumalade was nothing but "instant Deb potato mash" in my opinion "the ship has truly sunk" a waste of time and money.

We made our booking for mothers day. The restaurant was so full. We were seated outside as per our choice. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The food also came out fast and hot, looking at the crowd we thought it may take a while but to our surprise it didn't. We had good family time and the meals were enjoyable.

Good service and delicious food. The gnocchi al pesto are fantastic and the complimentary serving of bruschetta adds to the dining experience! Also, one of the few places that actually know how to make a decent latte!

I have never written a review about a restaurant but I felt so strongly about the meal I had last night at the Flower Drum that I felt I should warn others. This place is Totally overrated. We had the banquet which consisted of 6 bland under seasoned courses. The sauces had too much corn flour, the fried rice was dry and the presentation, there was none. It was such a huge disappointment, I have had better Chinese from my local takeaway in Sydney.
I am trying to comprehend how they justify the cost as the service was also lacklustre. The waiters were clearing plates away while some of us were still eating. Will never go back there again.

We visited on a Saturday night right as the footy game was letting out, but were able to find free parking despite the crowd. The restaurant was not crowded at all, a shame, really. We had booked through a Groupon set menu pre-purchase that included two entrees, two mains, two desserts and a bottle of wine.
The set menu choices had a good variety to choose from and everything was superb. Really a beautiful place to dine and nicer than a lot of the overcrowded restaurant regions in the city.

Decided to give this resturant a go tonight with my partner, we walked in on a saturday night about 630pm and it was dead, so we thought we'd get a table easy. No! The staff were annoyed because we didn't have a booking, and although all their seats were vacant except for few people they did not want to take us in. They then told us if they did, we would have to be out by 8pm. We were hungry so we just went ahead.
The food is good and tasty, but the staff customer service levels.. nothing. No service. I had to grab the girls attention to get served to order, and they didn't even take my order until they were ready despite being told I was ready.
They would bring out food, and not even serve it on our plates (we ordered buffet). Buffet was not worth it as the meals were small and for the price of $35 each would have been better selecting our own.
We did not get asked if food was ok, or if we would like more water. I asked for the food to take away, and I got a plastic container and bag thrown at me to do it myself. Ok, so the food is tasty but the staff are absolutely horrible, horrible. No Tip.

This place is an institution! I used to go here as a kid and it is great to see it hasn't changed. We ordered the banquet which was excellent value for money. The food was tasty and fresh. The male waiters were courteous and efficient. We went on a Saturday night and yes, Derrick J is still the resident musician! Our young children enjoyed getting up and having a dance. A very enjoyable evening.

Recently had a birthday celebration at Waterfront. A group of 7 with three hour parking out front. Ordered mains and dessert, received our dessert 15 minutes before our parking expired. Yes 2 1/2 hour for main and clean up. Our poor server was run off his feet with quite a large area to service, they seriously need to employ more staff.
Food was delicious but waiting for dessert and our coffees caused a great deal of stress, worrying about that parking ticket. Employ more staff guys!
