Went there last night with table of 16 last minute booking manager was really polite and very accommodating being cold and miserable winter night. He gave us a nice table by the fire place and was really attentive all night. Staff were polite, quick, food was great, highly recommend to anyone. The manager gave me his number said anytime sir that's what we are hereto give people an experience. Just shows people still love hospitality and are passionate about it still. Bravo

Recently had a birthday celebration at Waterfront. A group of 7 with three hour parking out front. Ordered mains and dessert, received our dessert 15 minutes before our parking expired. Yes 2 1/2 hour for main and clean up. Our poor server was run off his feet with quite a large area to service, they seriously need to employ more staff.
Food was delicious but waiting for dessert and our coffees caused a great deal of stress, worrying about that parking ticket. Employ more staff guys!

Dined at Sapore twice, both times had lovely experiences. Waiting staff attentive, but, perhaps, could have been a little less suffocating.
Meals were impeccably presented and flavours of each dish worked brilliantly together. Recommend the Duck and Barramundi. The chocolate desserts are slightly sparse but to die for, bring back the marquise!

This has for many years been my favourite restaurant in Melbourne and I have taken many visitors there over the years, however, when there on Friday night for a birthday celebration, we could not have been more disappointed, not by the food, but the service, which was surely the most apathetic, disinterested and rude in all of Australia. No one seemed to care, we had to ask for our drinks 4 times before they finally arrived, half way through our main course. What a huge letdown for such a previously great restaurant. I am sure that Cath Claringbold would be very sad indeed.

First time I eat at Nobu with colleagues from work, and tried the signature black cod, Omg, utterly amazing. Overall Nobu is a great modern take on japanese with lots of modern fusion thrown in.
The service at our table was outstanding that night. Ambience wise, the restaurant is average at best, and prices are a little on the high side (for what you get). Would I go there again? Absolutely.

Very disappointing food regardless of the price. Sophisticated menu but poorly executed. Questionable freshness of seafood, some ingredients felt pre-prepared and reheated (fish, risotto), flavours were not balanced, red meat not cooked correctly (way overcooked) overseasoned and definitely way overpriced. Service was good but after paying the bill I felt ripped off. Would not recommend it. Fail.

Wonderful food and service. Perfect winter meals with fireplace and view of the bay. Attentive but unobtrusive service. Somewhere special without the extra special price. The duck is to die for, although the new risotto menu should be experienced. And don't forget the cheese platter with a lovely frecinet Pinot.

I was not a fan of this place.
Our group was placed in the back corner, with poor lighting. The rest of the restaurant was illuminated, whilst we were in very dim lighting. It was that dim we couldn't even see the colour of our food.
We were also told they had no gyros meat. How on earth does a Greek Restaurant not have gyros meat! If we had known there was no gyros meat, we wouldn't have eaten there.
They forgot one of our platters, and we had to wait 20 minutes for it to come out, by then nobody wanted any. We were told it was only going to be 5 minutes.
Service was also poor. The food is extremely overpriced, with little value.
We will never return to this restaurant, next time we will go somewhere else, which we know has amazing Greek food and service.

My lovely partner and I recently stayed at Melbourne, and one day while scouting the Crown Casino repertoire of dining establishments, we decided on an impromptu luncheon at Nobu. The thing is, we have long since known about Nobu and was even going to dine at one of their American branches whilst in the States last year, so it is funny that we stumbled across their Melbourne branch as a random happenstance.
The day we decided to have lunch at Nobu was in fact Easter Sunday, so as we were seated were then advised that only the dinner menu was available. This would have suited my fancy more so if this was advertised before we took our seats, as truthfully this may have changed our minds. But, that’s probably the smarts of it all, credit to Nobu for hooking us in!
We ordered their signature yellowtail sashimi with jalepeno, which I must say was utterly divine. We also ordered the sashimi tacos, squid pasta (that had no pasta?) and the prawn and lobster dish, which were all Ok at most. But the stand out was their “special” of the day, a cold pasta dressed in a light oil sauce with snow crab. This special is not on the menu, but that dish was definitely my favourite Nobu dish.
The prices are quite high for what you get. I understand it is in a sought after location and is a “Nobu” branch. Aside from the yellowtail sashimi and the special crab pasta, the food was Ok, dressed up and overpriced. Also, the actual restaurant looked a little run down and dated. The service was also all over the place, our main waiter was good, but were 3 times 2 different waiters brought us someone else’s food, and one of our dishes also went to another table before getting to ours. Overall, Nobu is nothing impressive.

This places just oozes class and professionalism. The staff looked sharp and they worked together like a well drilled team.
I had no idea this restaurant was a one hatter until reading up on it after our meal. I can totally understand why they have received that accolade.
There was so many tempting dishes on the menu we opted for the degustation with matching wines. The first couple of dishes were extraordinary, that being the Spanner Crab with Golden Beetroot and the Pork Belly.
To finish off the 6 courses we had one of the nicest desserts I have ever tasted. It was the spiced cassonade which was basically a baked brulee with blueberry compote and baklava wafers. Killer dish and perfect way to finish as the meal sizes were extremely generous for a degustation so a decadent rich dessert would've been a struggle.
Overall we spent $450 between the two of us, however, the food was fantastic and the wines were perfectly matched in my opinion. You couldn't expect too much less in terms of cost at most award winning restaurants.

This is an over hyped restaurant, no doubt about it. The only reason this restaurant has gained such appeal is because of its famous investors. I dined here with some friends during the dinner session and my overall reaction can be summed up in three words, 'meh'.
Firstly to be clear, this is not a place you goto for fine dining. It's a simple westernized Japanese restaurant. We ordered the 6 course taster and the dishes were simply unimaginative. The first 4 courses were fish based with salmon tartar in wasabi soy the starter. The salmon wasn't the freshest and it was drowned in the soy sauce. The only course that stood out was their signature dish of lightly seared tuna brushed with hot olive oil and sesame seeds.
The combination flavours of the oil and sesame worked extremely well with the fish. The other fish dishes were a general let down in terms of presentation, flavours, quality. The last two courses consisted of miso cod and slivers of wagyu beef. The cod was the better of the two. They need to also rethink their dessert of chocolate pudding and green tea ice cream. The proportions are massive for one person to devour and the two items do not mix well, at the end of it, you just want to wash it down with a jug of water. It's way too sweet.
The design of the restaurant is a little tacky especially for a multi million dollar establishment. The service is touch and go as well. We were greeted by a very charismatic server who explained to us his recommendations on meals, the cooking methods and the ingredients involved. It took us a while to get served water and when we ordered our sake, the server swiftly dropped the bottle and stacked cups onto the middle of the table and left without a word.
The servers need to be retrained on how to properly serve dishes. They were weaving between tables and around the restaurants, almost bumping into patrons trying to get the food to our table. We were given an explanation of the dish for 2 of the courses and nothing said for the rest of the night.
Everything about this restaurant is inconsistent. It could definitely be improved, it has the name, the location going for it but the service and quality is the real let down.

Have enjoyed Nobu on 2 occasions, first at the bar on a Thursday with some complimentary tapas, the wine and beer selection is fantastic. Second occasion drinks and dinner which could be one of the most amazing and decadent meals I have enjoyed to date. The miso Cod and Whole chicken with Green Tea spiced rub I think it was...Amazing. Each occasion the staff were attentive and able to answer any questions and offer suggestions. Great stuff! Love!

An amazing journey, that's exactly what it was, a journey into some old dishes (with a spin), not to mention the 5" pizzas! Obviously tapas has been around for ages, but these dishes are slightly larger than standard tapas size and are perfect for sharing.
My favorite was the Osso Bucco and the Bugs, yummy! The decor is great, lego bar, water views and the faux grass on the walls, quirky. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, just a little slow but worth the wait. Left very full, both of food and wine! Highly recommend.

I went to Sapore on Sunday night with a friend. All was good until we went to order. After giving the waiter my order my friend then ordered the Set Menu. That is when the problems started. We were informed that both people had to have the set menu.
For what reason that was I didn't even ask. Then after five minutes I decided I would have the Set Menu as well even though it wasn't to my liking. Then I asked if I was able to substitute a glass of Wine for a Beer. I was then told I could substitute a Soft Drink or Orange Juice instead.
After much consideration we decided to walk out. Can someone please explain to me how a Restaurant can dictate what you can and can't order on a Sunday night when there was ten people in the Restaurant. While the food might be good at Sapore, unfortunately, the attitude of Management and Staff leaves quite abit to be desired.

I love love love the Lychee Martini's here, one of the best cocktails I've ever had and I've had a few. They are no longer on the menu but you can still order them. I travel to Melbourne (from Sydney) frequently for work and always try and fit in a cocktail (or two!) while I'm here. Only thing I'll say is head inside during torrential rain if it's windy, it can be brutal! Great setting on the river and close to Crown.

I heard about this restaurant through friends, thank goodness as we loved it.The food was amazingly good and I can unequivocally say the best and most enjoyable I have had the pleasure of dining on for a long time. The service was very good and friendly but with just enough professionalism to know you are in a good establishment.

We arrived on a Friday night with no booking and not much time as we had to catch a show and the staff were very accommodating, friendly and efficient. I had the crab spaghetti and my husband the chicken breast with a shared side of brussel sprouts. All the portions were generous and really tasty. A great dining experience.
