We wanted to order from the indian restaurant that was originally at this location, only to discover there was a change of management and was renamed Kalash. It appears there is also a change of chef as well. Sceptical, we ordered a few dishes without seeing a menu. When the dishes arrived we all thought the curries looked a little watery than what we're used to.

However, after the first spoonful, the flavours were All there. The meats were very tender and well cooked. We ordered some naan and roti. Roti was good but the garlic naan was awesome. Price wise, it was alright, but, perhaps, there could have been a little more meat for the price?

Overall I wasn't disappointed and am quite relieved the meal was good. Looks like we've found a new favourite restaurant! Thanks!

I went to Nawabs last week on a saturday with a few friends, I was told that they were fully booked out and either had to wait or I can order a take away. Was a little disappointed that I could not dine in. We ordered biryani and a few curries. I should admit that the biryani was the best I have had in a long long time and the curries were rich and tasty, also I should add their service was very friendly and polite. Anyone who wants to try traditional hyderabadi food should try this restaurant. And the best part is it is Cheap.

Food is delicious (Especially the butter chicken, roti, biryani and chilli chicken). True hyderabadi food, and flavours that really satisfy the palate. However, choice for vegetarians (during lunch time) is limited, however, the lavish menu for dinner compensates any loss. Trust me, you won't be upset after your meal! Range to suit those mild-spice lovers to chilli lovers!

Don't bother would have to be worst biryani I ever had supposed to be goat it was chicken. A few pieces of chicken on coloured rice tasteless and dry
and the homemade lemon drink yuk.

Peggy and her crew were involved in catering for 162 guests at my daughter's engagement just 2 weeks ago. Her quality service and looking after all guests and their tastes was something beyond description. All guests boasted so highly of the quality of all her food and they said they all will be going to her restaurant and using her for catering services in future.

Peggy is so innovative and listens to all special requirements as we had requested. I have not tasted such food provided by her in Australia as we have eaten at so many restaurants. Tonight we are going back to her restaurant. I would say to everyone who has not been to her restaurant to make a visit and try her cuisine cooked to your taste especially in hotnees. The Best Indian Restaurant in Australia.

Carlton Curry House ticks all the boxes. I went here with a large group of 15 and we all thought the food was outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the servings are generous. The service is great, very friendly but not invasive. Upstairs caters for a large group. So if you’re into Indian food and would like to impress your friends, this is the venue for you!

Our fav indian restaurant I love the Lamb Korma. I would recommend this restaurant it is BYO as well so you do save money.

I have been to aangan restaurant many times... from the time when they had very few customers... till recently, but now strongly decided to avoid this restaurant. I have ordered tandoori chicken and some starter’s items. Tandoori chicken is dry and taste less, and in starters items I could not find match chicken also very disappointed with their taste and quantity of chicken for that price. For that price, restaurant is useless. Strongly decided to avoid this restaurant, encourage other nearby restaurant.

Food was ordered through Menulog online at 7.43PM, text message was received stating delivery time of 8.43PM. By 9.15PM (92minutes) food still had not arrived, even allowing for busy Saturday night 92 minutes is a bit slow. I called to check and was advised that they were busy (duhhh...) and food would be 10 mins. 38 minutes later the food arrived (we live 700m from the restaurant). Total time from ordering to delivery? 130 minutes! 2 hours and 10 minutes!

The delay is bad enough, but to be lied to when I called to check is inexcusable, not a smart way to run your business. They basically forgot my order and started cooking when I called to check. Never again for this un-professional rabble.

I'm fussy with the quality of the meat. Often it is tough, fatty or sinewy, however, Haveli hasn't disappointed to date, with fat trimmed and succulent results.

Was quite disappointed with the food here. The chicken had some fat on it which I assumed was meant to be Halal also I asked for the dish to be cooked in the Tandoor and it wasn't and I also asked for one of the stuffed breads with cottage cheese and got a plain one instead plus it was quite dry and flimsy, two garlic naan and one onion naan were also dry and flimsy. Perhaps, a new kitchen staff may be required here and until there is I won't be back in a hurry that's for sure.

Oh My God.! Thank you Melbourne, Thank you Punjabi. Hubby and I used to have a regular authentic restaurant in Brisvegas and when moving to Melbourne 3 years ago, we struggled. Punjabi ticks all the boxes. The staff are just fantastic, really attentive, very friendly and the food is just to die for. You really feel like you've entered a traditional Indian home because you are made to feel so welcome and the Bollywood is just the icing on the cake. Thank you, we are your new fans. Always a treat to eat in or takeaway. Food is great and service is lovely. Ambience is lacking a little, as it is very tired, but it isn't that noticeable when you are enjoying the food and company.

I nearly went past this small unprepossessing restaurant but caught sight of the Age recommendation in the window. The place is small and not trendy, the menu needs updating, it has noise from the traffic, But the staff are exceedingly friendly and the food is authentic and absolutely delicious.

Great roti, wonderful black dhal. I can't speak for the meat dishes but the vegetarian dishes are super. Why pay a fortune for lousy subcontinent food when you can eat this. The venue itself needs a bit of a wash and brush up.

I was very disappointed from my recent visit after 2 years. This huge gap was because at that time, Aangan didn't have any high chairs. Well, I now know that I will never set foot in Aangan restaurant again. The level has dropped so much! Our seekh kebabs were so over salty n the meat appeared to have been steamed instead of being sizzling from the tandoor as explained on the menu!

The naans were flat and thin as if cooked on a hot plate, again instead of the tandoor as written on the menu. And the worst of all was the biryani that had been heated in the microwave instead of being made fresh that day! So very disappointed!
