I didn't have enough time to enjoy a sit-in at the chokolait hub, but my take away drink was just as exceptional. The iced jaffa (dark chocolate) drink which I ordered had just the right amount of orange and sugar to balance out the flavours and was just the right 'pick me up' when I braved the Melbourne rain outside. Will come back for more!

Could have spent 10 bucks and gone somewhere else with more consistency. We didn't have high expectations but cold burgers is certainly not what we wanted from a burger diner. Advertised burger were 100% meat, but more like 20% meat and 80% breadcrumbs et al. Gave me indigestion.
Soft drinks severely overpriced, two burgers, two soft drinks and 1 fries came to $50. The manager was lovely enough, but his staff were a bit clueless.

Dined at Sapore twice, both times had lovely experiences. Waiting staff attentive, but, perhaps, could have been a little less suffocating.
Meals were impeccably presented and flavours of each dish worked brilliantly together. Recommend the Duck and Barramundi. The chocolate desserts are slightly sparse but to die for, bring back the marquise!

Recently came here while on a trip to Melbourne. I am planning my next trip down just for another burger. If you think that this is mildly excessive, clearly you have never been.
Came with 6 others, we ordered a few things each and shared it all round, utterly amazing. Had we not been so full, we would have ordered a second round of foods.
I don't want to single out anything off the menu, because everything we had was pure brilliance. Also, the best lemon, lime and bitters I have ever had, I had here.
Aboslutely Super Highly Recommended to anyone who will listen.

I have been to Dizzy's many times and our kids really love it. They have a brilliant play structure and the whole space is huge so the kids can run amok and just tire out! I think the food is actually really good, coffee fine too. I worked it out that having a party at an indoor play centre is actually heaps cheaper than having one at home, and the added bonus is you don't really have to do anything as Dizzy's does it all for you.
We have had just a cafe table there and that was really relaxed and once we booked out one of their themed party rooms (the witches room) and the kids got all dressed up. Plus we had a visit by Dizzy the Dragon. It is definitely one of our favourite kids play centres (clean and the staff are young, but friendly and the place has a good vibe). Thanks!

Read some reviews from the site so decided to give it a try. Didn't disappoint us. Great food, the marinated pork is something that you should give it a try.
Service was good even though the place was packed. Will try it again in the future.

Had such an amazing night at Hellenic Republic! The food was authentic and what you would get in a taverna in Greece.
Highlight would be the lamb and the moussaka. The Cypriot grain salad is also a must. For dessert I got the 'Ekmek kataifi pagoto' which is a pastry with cherries, custard and mastic ice cream. Amazing!
Also had a nice chat with a waitress from Greece, she was lovely to talk to her and very attentive. Planning my next trip to Melbourne just to have dinner at Hellenic Republic!

Lovely location and cosy space with a mixture of couch, table and bench seating. Did get very noisy though. The service was very good. Unfortunately,m the food was terrible.
Overall there was a distinct lack of seasoning. The best thing we tried were the Chefs Choice Croquettes (Mushroom, Leek and Parmesan). On the bland side but still nice. From there nothing else impressed. The dips were flavourless and served with lumps of Turkish Bread instead of Flat Bread as described in the menu. Pork Belly was not cooked/rendered enough so was fatty and tough. The sauce tasteless.
But by far the worst dish was the Chorizo. It was barely poached in a horrible apple/mint watery gravy. I took 2 bites and could not eat anymore. Never had such bad chorizo. It should have been all caramelised, crispy and brown on the outside instead of pale with the skin hanging loosely. We didn't risk ordering dessert based on the standard of the mains. Having been looking forward to going here for ages I was beyond disappointed.

My companion and I stumbled by chance onto this new Thai restaurant on Thomas Street, in Dandenong. Actually, the only reason I suggested getting dinner in Dandenong that night (last Saturday) was that I wanted to avoid the Freeway, where there had been a major traffic incident.
We were surprised to see this Thai restaurant there. Although there were no customers inside, we decided to be brave and try it anyway. Luckily we were not disappointed. Actually it exceeded our expectations.
The service was very attentive, without being intrusive. (Yes, it's easier when you're the only couple dining, but still, it was good). We ordered fishcakes to share as an entree, which were very good. I had a main of lamb curry, which was very nice. I ate this with steamed rice, and also roti. The roti turned out to be a single item, and had an oily appearance, but tasted fine.
My companion had some kind of sour steamed fish dish, which she liked. I should mention that although she is not Thai, she is well familiar with authentic Thai food, and has high standards, and she was satsified with the food. The only matter she could deduct points for was that they didn't have a couple of less-common items on their menu that she enjoys eating when she can find them (one was a main, and the other was a dessert involving mango).
At the end of all this we were pretty full, and couldn't face dessert. However, I had a flat white coffee, which was also fine. Made on a Gaggia machine, using Coffee Mio coffee.
The only thing really to complain about was that initially the heating was set to 24 degrees C, which we found much too warm considering we were dressed for the cold night. However, at the time of placing our order we asked if it could be turned down, and the adjusted setting of 20 degrees C was just nice.

There are better steak places than this one. My rare steak was medium and my partners well done steak was dry! And it only takes One foul faced waiter to taint your meal. Of the four or five people who served us, the waiter who was responsible for our table needs better customer service skills. Everyone else who worked there that we encountered was lovely. Ambience was nice. But I will think twice before going back.

2nd visit (1st 4 years ago) Not very impressed unfortunately. Booked for Mothers Day, was not told when booking that it was a set menu. Arrived and was told it was 'a set' after saying that I wasn't informed when booking and not particularly happy, was told that the senior staff would come and have a chat with me. That didn't occur.
The set menu was for 2 persons based on $42.00 per person, we paid $45 person plus drinks. Admittedly didn't check the bill till after paying. There was no separate bowl of olive oil (normally served at Greek restaurants for dipping). The dips though tasty were small in portion. The octopus was not tangy with lemon as expected. Which brings me to the point of having a set menu, what if people are allergic to certain foods, or come to a lunch with a budget? If I had been told, I would have gone elsewhere.
The baklava was burnt on the bottom. The corkage $4.50 per bottle (love that as we opened and poured our own drinks, so $4.50 for the cost of a glass on the table). All in all disappointed with the outcome. The way we show a restaurant we like it is to return, sadly we won't.

The food is over priced for what it is but it tastes Ok (definitely nothing special) the late hours they are open is the only good thing about the place. The senior staffs come off as incredibly rude and money hungry and given we have known personally some of the staff for many years we know that this is very much true.
The staff are paid $12 per hour, have ridiculous demands made of them and are also not granted any of the liberties that are the normal saving graces of hospitality work such as the ability to give your family and close friends at least some kind of discount.
Over all if you are around the corner and desperate to go somewhere for food at 3am then there it is but we would certainly not recommend a visit otherwise!

Have been wanting to go to this restaurant for ages and finally did recently. But oh what a disappointment. The nachos was gluggy and cold and just horrible. The main courses were warm/tepid by the time they got to us. My main course was very floury and bland. This place seems to be hugely popular but given the lacklustre service and the very average meals, not sure what all the fuss is about. Perhaps, it was just a bad/off night.

Walking in off Greville St, Prahran, you might be in a Parisian Bistro. The wait-staff all look and sound French, the decor is appropriate and menu certainly has all the classics. However, in spite of the fact that the reviews are mostly pretty good, we felt that this restaurant fell short in some respects.
The wait staff seemed to have been selected for their ability to speak French rather than do the job, the wine was amateurishly poured and was spilt, there was some minor confusion over one aspect of our orders, our routine allergy issue seemed to cause confusion, the refill of water didn't arrive and the coffees turned up over an extended interval. Perhaps, we just encountered a night when there were some relatively new staff?
My French onion soup was fine, but there were some grumbles about the bisque (too thin?). A comment was made about one of the duck dishes to the effect that it could have been cooked a little less, and about another that it could have been cooked a little more.
On the other hand, my seafood gratin was fine, and there seemed to be no complaints about the steak from the other end of the table. The side serve of beans was a little light on for what we paid, although the mains had generous portions. The food and wine prices were in line with what you expect to pay these days. The wine list had a good selection, including French wines, at various price points.

Peggy and her crew were involved in catering for 162 guests at my daughter's engagement just 2 weeks ago. Her quality service and looking after all guests and their tastes was something beyond description. All guests boasted so highly of the quality of all her food and they said they all will be going to her restaurant and using her for catering services in future.
Peggy is so innovative and listens to all special requirements as we had requested. I have not tasted such food provided by her in Australia as we have eaten at so many restaurants. Tonight we are going back to her restaurant. I would say to everyone who has not been to her restaurant to make a visit and try her cuisine cooked to your taste especially in hotnees. The Best Indian Restaurant in Australia.

Very disappointing food regardless of the price. Sophisticated menu but poorly executed. Questionable freshness of seafood, some ingredients felt pre-prepared and reheated (fish, risotto), flavours were not balanced, red meat not cooked correctly (way overcooked) overseasoned and definitely way overpriced. Service was good but after paying the bill I felt ripped off. Would not recommend it. Fail.
