If 'The Sullivans' ever indulged in Sunday night take away Chinese, the Toy Yeon is the place that Terry would have pedalled his Malvern Star bike to to get it.
The food is spectacularly bad. The waiting staff seem surprised to see you and we laughed til we cried at just how far Asian cuisine has come since the gold rush ended. The cafe has an extensive Chop Suey selection, Marathon dim sums straight from the freezer and an extensive Australian meals offering that is gobsmackingly horrible to even think about. I haven't had this much fun not eating in a restaurant in a long time. Go there. Go now. If you dare.

I didn't have enough time to enjoy a sit-in at the chokolait hub, but my take away drink was just as exceptional. The iced jaffa (dark chocolate) drink which I ordered had just the right amount of orange and sugar to balance out the flavours and was just the right 'pick me up' when I braved the Melbourne rain outside. Will come back for more!

This place is excellent. We went for brunch on a Sunday morning and everything was brilliant. The coffee is very nice and the value for money is better than average.

Breakfast disaster! Waited over an hour for our meals and the place was near empty! My partners brekkie was average at best and missing bacon, my Spanish eggs consisted of 2 badly cooked eggs and 5 tiny pieces of sausage (which was the hold up for our food apparently) they didn't charge us for our drinks to make up for the lack of service and the wait, we were then offered a paltry excuse claiming it was the chefs first day and other kitchen staff were away etc.....
Oh please, we sat and watched several others enter, order eat and leave in the time we were sat waiting! All I can say is never again and I would definitely steer clear of this place.

Being from Sydney, I am so so so jealous that Melbourne has this great cafe!
On my recent visit to Melbourne, we went to Brunetti 3 times in Carlton and once in the city, so 4 out of the 6 day stay. Fell in love with the great atmosphere and grand selection of cakes and pastries. Coffee was awesome too! It gives the feeling of being in Europe. Very busy on every occasion we visited which didn't slow down the great friendly service with a smile.
All the girls and guys were working like machines to serve everyone as efficient as possible and were even apologetical for slight delay. Well done to the team, please bring your store to Sydney. We really don't have anything like this that compares. My first stop next time I come to Melbourne will definitely be Brunetti!

Was a little disappointed, after being rushed to our seats, I then realized there was No Vegan meal option at all. I watched my family eat their meal and ordered a soy latte that seemed to get forgotten.

Made a booking for 12:30 last Sunday for 4 people, after waiting 1.5 hours with one reminder in between that we were waiting for our food and seeing other people come in after us, order, eat and go. enough was enough asked the waiter at the 1.5 hour of waiting and was told it would an extra 15 minutes.
Honestly we all had ordered salads and I could have made them in 5 minutes. No prioritisation even after mentioning that we were waiting for our orders, extremely disappointing. Fortunately we went somewhere else and had an excellent meal after only 30 mns of leaving the Urban Grooves.

Bought some macarons and was impressed with the range of flavours that were available but was expecting higher quality since I have read that they have won awards for their macarons. The fillings could have had slightly more flavour and the shells were a tad dry but even so, they tasted good was just expecting more.

I have been to Dizzy's many times and our kids really love it. They have a brilliant play structure and the whole space is huge so the kids can run amok and just tire out! I think the food is actually really good, coffee fine too. I worked it out that having a party at an indoor play centre is actually heaps cheaper than having one at home, and the added bonus is you don't really have to do anything as Dizzy's does it all for you.
We have had just a cafe table there and that was really relaxed and once we booked out one of their themed party rooms (the witches room) and the kids got all dressed up. Plus we had a visit by Dizzy the Dragon. It is definitely one of our favourite kids play centres (clean and the staff are young, but friendly and the place has a good vibe). Thanks!

This cafe is a little bit away from the main strip of Carnegie. But it is very worth coming here. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food is fresh and yummy. The coffees are really good! This is a family friendly dining place with a lovely out door area at the back that has a childrens play area. I will definitely come back again!

My mother and I popped in for lunch on a Wednesday. The tablecloths were covered with sheets of paper and when you lifted the paper one understood why. The tablecloths were covered in stains. The place had a grimy unlooked after feel. I ordered calamari. The taste and feel of the oil lasted on my lips for the rest of the day. Quite unpleasant. Prices high and serves very small.

This delightful bakery/cafe reopened its doors just 2 weeks ago and already it hard to get through the doors and for good reason. I've been there 3 times now and can't wait to go back for more fresh yummy goodness. You can tell it's all fresh, baked daily, the bread is soft, the pastry is crisp and the sweets are to die for.
I highly recommend the vanilla slice, beats any other in Melbourne hands down. Still haven't tried the many tarts and cakes etc. So glad there's finally a decent patisserie in Camberwell..Win.

The food is over priced for what it is but it tastes Ok (definitely nothing special) the late hours they are open is the only good thing about the place. The senior staffs come off as incredibly rude and money hungry and given we have known personally some of the staff for many years we know that this is very much true.
The staff are paid $12 per hour, have ridiculous demands made of them and are also not granted any of the liberties that are the normal saving graces of hospitality work such as the ability to give your family and close friends at least some kind of discount.
Over all if you are around the corner and desperate to go somewhere for food at 3am then there it is but we would certainly not recommend a visit otherwise!

Amazing service as always, having frequented this place over the past 15 years+ the girls are always friendly, helpful and accommodating. Salad sandwich is fantastic, trust me its an easy thing to screw up and bread fresh. Specials changing always but the flathead tails and the cray sandwiches are brilliant.

Had a Friday lunch there. They claim “traditional italian” but of course there is no true traditional italian as traditional varies hugely from region to region. Having said that, I have dined at many italian restaurants and though the food here was very different from other’s, it was very enjoyable and reasonably priced.
We were there for a couple of hours and the steady stream of customers seemed to indicate that many others agree (we did not feel pressured to leave, even though the tables were continuously full). A smallish place so it’s probably safer to book. The atmosphere was given that authentic italian feel by the loud interchanges back and forth, in italian by the staff, not at all an unpleasant occurance. All in all, an enjoyable lunch.

My favourite place in Melbourne. Great ambience, very trendy and a bit alternative but the best part is that the service is amazing. Many people shy away from cafes that look a little bit hipster, but the service here ensures that everyone feels welcome. Prices very reasonable, paying upmarket cafe prices for what is good quality restaurant food. Salads are amazing. Blood orange granita my favourite. They have a huge range of award winning coffees too.
