Well its nice to see that Megumi is being revamped, new matching dinner sets and fresh paint a work in progress, I spoke with the owner and he will be bring this restaurant in to the 21 century. Food has not changed as neither has the chef. Great dining experiences.

Ryan from Stoniers recommended that we try Megumi and I must say we love it and have been back several times. Sushi Boat is what it says, a wooden boat with a bit of garnish and some excellent sushi and we love the crispy terryaki chicken. Staff are friendly, decor is different but if you like Japanese give it a go.

If decor is important, this is not the right place for you, but if you are looking for a truly tantalizing culinary experience this is definitely the right place. The food was the best I Japanese I had in Melbourne, the variety on the menu is amazing and you can experience dishes which you most likely have not seen in other restaurants.

I really enjoyed Megumi, the staff were very friendly and kind. The food was delicious and I would say to try there at least once.

Sublime Japanese food. Very traditional Japanese menu offering. The decor is bad enough to be interesting, the service is ok, but the food is as good as far more expensive establishments. Watch the specials board for some unique offerings. Beware the sashimi, it is addictive, never had better. Very difficult restaurant not to love.

Excellent food and great service. Decor is okay, I'd rather pay for good food than paint and trimmings anyway. I was blown away first time we went here. And we've been back many times since and never been disappointed. I think the prices are fine. The family that run the restaurant are friendly and all staff helpful to the new-to-Japanese diners. We’ve never had a problem with the speed of service even when busy. Highly recommended.

Family run establishment may occasionally struggle with influx of orders at times, but are friendly and helpful. Decor is... well, I have seen better decorated restaurants that serve $7 bowl of noodles but that is not the point. This place serves tasty and very enjoyable Japanese food and enjoys an undoubtably deserved popularity in the culinary dessert that is Frankston. Price a little dear though and I would Avoid their sushi at all cost.

The best meal that I have had at a restaurant for ages. The food is fantastic. I agree ignore the decor, the food is worth it!

An oasis in Frankston! The food here is simply sublime! The fish is top quality and fresh and the tempura was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. I'm a fan of Japanese cuisine and have eaten at many restaurants in Melbourne and other cities yet Megumi is right up there with the best! Highly recommended. Ignore the decor and enjoy the incredible food!!

Fantastic food and easily by far the best eating in Frankston. Dinner for two without drinks (it is byo and licensed) will leave you change from $50. The Sushi and Sashimi are simply fantatic value, and the service is attentive, informative and friendly.
