Came here for lunch, having been to beautiful Monsalvat several times. The meal was small and overpriced, I had a pumpkin tart which had hard, overcooked pastry and the filling tasted like baby food. The green salad was old, wilted with black edges. I won't be eating here again.

Delightful setting in the stone cafe or outdoors on the terrace in the sunshine. Food is good, but the menu comprises selecting a number of small tasting plates, small being the operative word. The tiny serves are just mean and you'll have to order a bag of them, plus sides, for a decent feed. Alas, not worth it, but a wander around the Montsalvat buidlings and grounds is always great.

How can no one write a review on Montsalvat. It’s so nice to wander around, check things out. As a child I would go there every Saturday with my Nan. She looked after the paintings in the great hall (rain or shine) and telling people the history about the place. We used to always get scones with jam and cream. They were always wonderful. The home made soup is great as well. 10/10 for the food the surroundings and the company.
