Overview

Match Bar & Grill in Melbourne is the latest addition to the Match Group, Jonathan Downey's international group of bars, restaurants, members clubs and hotel in London, New York, Ibiza, Spain and the French Alps.

Tucked away on Little Lonsdale Street Match Bar & Grill features two dining rooms, a large deck for dining, drinking and smoking, lounge areas and a stunning view of the Victorian State Library.

Head Chef Ben Roche (Bluebird, London, Fifteen UK) has produced a classic Australian bistro menu of larder favourites, fresh seafood, seasonal and superfood salads, premium grilled meats and delicious desserts; including Jamon Iberico, St Helens oysters, tuna carpaccio, scallops cerviche, Mt Leura lamb cutlets, rib-eye steaks and veal T-bone grills.

Our mission at Match in Melbourne is to deliver fantastic food, brilliant drinks, exciting new music, friendly, efficient service and a cracking good time in one of the coolest cities on the planet.

I had a lovely dinner with some great cocktails here last week. The girl looking after us at our table was really friendly and informative and I'm looking forward to going back soon.
