Had my engagement party at Marybrooke and couldn't have asked for anything more. It was spectacular. The food was delicious and there was so much on offer. The atmosphere was different it's old world which we prefer over modern places. The staff were fantastic, always going above and beyond to cater to our requirements.

Food can be a hit and miss here. When it's good, it's fantastic. Also had our wedding here ages ago, pretty surrounds. Sweets were so moorish. The senior staffs are fairly nice, but very disorganized and may not accept accountability. Made couple of serious mistakes on The Day which upset some local and international wedding guests and certainly the person who paid for the reception. Had heard fm other people that other functions didn't get quality meals ie. chicken was extremely dry.

Prob just need to really be at them, which kinda defeats the purpose of a senior staff. We now prefer to try other local eating places. Having said that, try la carte meals here as the gentlemen's pub ambience is really nice, even winter has its attractions with the warm fireplace and low lighting. Service is better then too.
