I've never written a review before but we had strong feelings about this place, Wonderful! We decided to try this place after seeing an ad and were so glad we did.

Food was so tasty and full of flavour, definitely the best indian restaurant we have ever been to. We had what we always order at other indian places: an entree (in this case we had the achari chicken) lamb rogan josh and a prawn dish - (prawn malabari). The entree was to die for, succulent and tender chicken...I still dream of it.

My partner and I loved the rich flavour of the thick rogan josh gravy and I was very impressed to see actual prawns in my dish! Almost always prawn dishes have little shrimp in them or like 2 prawns but here I had a good amount of juicy big prawns yum. Naan was beautiful and soft and crispy all at the same time. We felt really well looked after by young enthusiatic and polite staff even on a busy night. Plus the manager was warm and friendly when greeting and checking up on us.

My partner and I had a great night there and we eat out alot! More than anything I am excited that we've found a little gem. Thanks everyone at Little India, see you soon.

Myseslf and my family are regulars at Little India Bistro & Tandoor. We love the quality & taste of their food, ambience & excellent service by their well trained staff. After each visit to Little India, we feel there should be more of this high quality restaurants in every suburb of Melbourne.

Well to start with, the fully packed restaurant just had 3 wait staff on Saturday evening with the over heated room. Our table with 12 adults and 7 kids reached so called famous restaurant at 6:30 pm and then waited 1 hour for the order to be taken which had 8 banquets and rest a la carte. Once that was done nothing was served till 8:45 pm. After reminding the wait staff twice of the patient adults and hungry kids for that long, wait staff replied, "you have not ordered entree and as per your request meals will be served together" (which was extremely rude).

He was reminded that others on table have ordered entree if not him. He then mentioned late is due to take away orders and catering done from back door. Hello why are we there then?

Anyway, entree came in and then main course after another 45 minutes wait. Think of those who didn't order entree. When main course was served naan was absolutely cold which staff accepted immediately and bring in another lot in 10 minutes. That was same we could recognise because the top naan fell on table and picked up so remembered by all in that corner. Friends who had banquet had their own story of waiting for naan first by the time it came curries were cold when those were ordered and came in naan was cold.

And at the end half of the table was served with dessert with half waiting as order was taken only for that group of friends. By the time our dessert came in their ice cream melted. We left restaurant at 10:45 pm after long turmoil for dinner. Apart from bad service the food was absolutely bland, even after requesting extra hot food, it was mildest as possible. My 2 yr old eats more hot than that. Naan bread was not cooked properly and was raw. Dessert pista kulfi didn't taste anything close to pista. Terrible experience.

The restaurant is not kids friendly at all as we were objected by group of 4 oldies that kids are noisy and are running around. What an evening! Thank god it was over. Definitely not going back and no way recommending anyone.

Had dinner here at 5.30pm on a Sunday evening on a "spreets" deal. We had a voucher for a banquet for two plus drinks which cost us $39. We were just absolutely delighted with our evening. We were greeted warmly, and as we had brought our daughter with us, we planned to order a la carte for her. However, when our waiter explained our deal, there was so much food we decided to just look at the food on our deal first. Much to their great credit, the staff did not insist on us ordering extra food for our third person. We were served dips, mixed entree, papadoms, naan, three curries (two meat), rice and condiments. The food was fresh and really delicious. We all agreed that this was perhaps the best naan that we have ever tasted. Crispy on the outside then melted in your mouth. Next we ordered a prawn curry and some more gorgeous naan that we really didn't need, but had to have! What a really lovely evening. Some of the best service we have received in a long while, and delicious food. We will definitely be back!

I am one of the regulars in this restaurant and all my friends and family who have accompanied me have always come out with positive remarks about the food and its quality. Fantastic Customer Service by the staff and Manager, Mr Anoop Khare. You guys rock.

Good selection of food. The service was quick and good, and the owner made attempts to visit everyone's table to make sure everything was alright! I found the mains a little oily but good taste. Make sure you let them know the level of spice to suit your taste. It has a part of seating in alfresco style which is good in summer not winter when you would freeze! Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
