Last time we went there we had a backpacker from Dublin as a waitress. She was terrible, didn't want to be there on a Friday night. Would take an eternity to clear away our table, wouldn't bring fresh glasses for our beer and we had to constantly ask to have our table water refilled.

This left a real bad taste in our mouth, instead of enjoying the food we were too worried about a bit of decent service. To make matters worse, we were told we all had to have the banquet as it would be easier for the kitchen. The first time I've been out for dinner and been told that! After all, they aren't paying my bill for me are they? Probably my worst experience at dinner in the last 2 years I've been living in StKilda.

We had a voucher for lezzet for a three course meal for two, Turkish bread and s bottle of wine. When we arrived they told us we had to have a set menu even tho voucher stated we could choose our meals. This set menu was meat and I a vegetarian. We then discovered we had to share a main meal only big enough for one! Which was lamb not the choices we were told on gift voucher. So we had to pay for a veggie dish. We did get our wine but no bread. Food was nice but v disappointed in the service. The voucher was a present and if the voucher would have said set menu if meat it would never have been bought!

What a fabulous restaurant, for the owners! Amazingly over-priced and uncomfortably cramped.

With such a small selection on the menu, where two items were "out" already, I had some hopes that remaining ones would at least be prepared with love and care.

While the anatolian lamb was quite tasty, a few dribbled-on corn kernels do not represent "roasted vegetables". The King Prawn sides haven't been in the microwave long enough to heat through the awfully tasting rice. But at least we've got a long black hair thrown in for free! Yeay!

A few slices of dried fig and a smear of yoghurt does not make a Turkish dish. Authentic? About as much as a didgeridoo made in China. One down, so many more to go.

What a shocker, from phone Booking (which basically wanted to know what you were going to order before they accepted the booking) service that was non existent. Also never again, but judging from reviews, there will no doubt be a very positive review just after this?

One of the finest restaurants I have ever been to. Its a little noisy. But the food compensates for that as its simply delicious. The food that is worth a try are Stuffed mushrooms, fresh calamari, Anatolian Lamb and for the dessert, Turkish delight sundae. The service is also very good.

We have been coming to this restaurant many times even when it is expensive. However, the 2 last times we had such a bad service and the food has been so stingy that I cannot recommend it anymore. Once the restaurant had 2 tables with customers and the senior staff will not let us seat in the table we chose. Last week we ordered take away, and Anatolian lamb that once finished the plate, half of it was fat. The other meal was a wrap with only 2 pieces of lamb. Yes, 2 pieces of lamb in a whole wrap! I was so sick of eating the bread with lettuce. Disgusting! We are definitely not going there Anymore!

Ok, this is the thing, I have been here a few times and loved it, the food was great and service too. However, it is not consistent, I made a booking to find when I arrived there was no booking and was made to feel I was lying, they really need to sharpen up their customer service and organize their bookings as I have heard the same complaints about their bookings. They have no idea how to accommodate people and I would never go or recommend this restaurant again.

Visited Lezzet on Valentines day only to be confronted by staff regarding cancellation of my booking after a failed to answer my phone 2 minutes before entering the premises. After some negotiating I was seated with my partner to experience some of the worst food I have ever tasted. That's not all, it was clear they had over booked and the kitchen staffs were constantly yelling at one another which was rather annoying to hear at a romantic dinner.

We waited over one hour for each course and although being seated as one of the first guests, we were served last. Never again!

The restaurant has a really good atmosphere and the staff seemed very polite and welcoming. I went there to celebrate my birthday with my Uncle, at first I wasn't too keen on going to a Turkish restaurant but now I'm glad he picked this one, I didn't realise it was a contemporary turkish restaurant.
