I went here again because I was so impressed by my first experience. This time round it was one of the poorest dining experiences I have had in ages. I ordered the pork dish which was served to me raw. I cut into it in several places and it was raw all over. Before I made an approach to the staff I was approached by the waitress who asked me if it was a little too rare for me, in which I replied "I think it is too rare for anyone". If they approached me it indicates they knew it was raw before I received it.
I have seen steak ordered blue cooked more. They offered us a round of drinks while they prepared me another meal, it was a Sunday afternoon so I was more than happy to wait. I was completely blown away when my meal came out again and it was the same piece of pork I sent back and they had cooked the life out of it and all the orange rub had gone and it was a dry over cooked piece of pork.
At this point I was hungry so I just ate it. When the waitress took away the plates again she asked about the meal and she asked again if it was overdone.
If you know the meals are not right don't serve them to your customers simple. They did provide me with a refund on my meal, but I would have preferred a good meal and no refund. Also the kitchen should never send back the same piece of meat they failed to prepare properly in the first place.
Will I go back, I don't know, watch this space. I didn't know how to rate the service because the waitress was excellent but kitchen service was terrible so I left it the same as original review. Beer was better this time round.

Food review :8. Service: 7. Value:8 . I went to Leveson for lunch today with a few friends, I have heard mixed reviews but we thought we would give it a go anyway. It was really quiet, we were the only diners except for a table of about 12.
We were offered to dine in the bar area or the restaurant, we opted for the bar area. Both area's are nice and modern and well set out. The bar area is nice and casual has a few couches, tables and chairs and a few long benches with barstools along both sides.
As far as the food was concerned I found my meal to be fantastic. I had the grilled Barramundi with beetroot and goats cheese, the flavour combination was well balanced and delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and well seasoned.
Two of my friends had the chicken parm and the other had flat head tails, they all raved about their meals.
My mate said that it was one of the best parms he had ever eaten, and this guy eats more parms than anyone in the country, he cracks it when he goes somewhere and there is no parm on the menu. This said if you love parm his opinion should be held in high regard.
One downfall of the place was I felt the beer on tap was a bit flat, the beer tasted clean but was lacking gas, had hardly head which went away in about 30 seconds.
Overall this place is well set out and has fantastic food. Would recommend to anyone, they just need to fix the beer on tap maybe it was just that day. Give it a go you won't regret it.

I attended a Christmas Party here last week and while I know these kinds of events are not the best way to judge a place, I think I saw enough to form a pretty negative view of The Leveson.
While the location and design of the place is quite inviting, it went down hill from here. I can't imagine why the place would be popular, it certainly would not be because of the food. We paid $43 a head for a main and desert. I had a chicken parma which was tasteless (cooked, frozen and reheated?) and it had so much MSG in it that I was crook until well into the afternoon of the next day (my partner had salmon which she said was OK). My desert was the thinnest slice of lemon tart on an absurdly large plate, and that was it.
The noise level in the place was absolutely deafening, with doof doof music and the TV on (behind a bit of a curtain) at the same time. Smoke smell coming in from the courtyard. Really awful. Wait staff tried but were overwhelmed by the numbers of people, so just dumped the food on the table. If The Leveson just called itself bar, they could get away with it, but they have pretensions to be a restaurant and they are not anywhere near this. I won't be going back.
